Did he get up from the fall at the weekend? ? ?
I noticed from the television that he didnt get up.
I was hoping he was just winded and then got up after the television cameras had progressed to the latter part of the race.
Any news on the horse would be great, thank you.
November 15, 2010 at 16:49 #328090He was winded and got up a few minutes after the race.
Was very impressed that they thought to show the horse being rolled to help him up on Channel 4. Fantastic background stuff for the public to see – hopefully reduces some of the mystery that the screens instill.
November 16, 2010 at 20:19 #328261Standing on the lawn we thought he was a gonner when he hit the floor and it was the best sight of the meeting (joint with Maucaillou) to see him walked back after the race.
He was down for ages and well done to all involved in bringing him round. It was an x-rated fall.

it was all a bit chaotic as not only was Maucaillou down, another horse pulled up lame at the last, but as we didn’t see the dreaded tractor move (and it was pretty much next to him) we figured that was a good sign. Maucaillou… very pleased to see him get up but he should have been pulled up before then.
