The bookies always underestimate J Barber. His horse King Calvin running tomorrow, should not be a 16-1 shot IMO with bet365, (only 9-1 with PP). I have him down as a lot shorter than 16-1 in my book.
Doubt that 16’s will last long. Looks a pretty good horse to me, another west country wind op first timer too. If you watch his last novice hurdle in May. It may have been a crap race, but the way he went through it impressed me. He jumped impressively, but slowed right down coming into the last when clear. The other horse came at him so fast, but he still accelerated again to win easily. He looks a nice horse to me with plenty of scope to improve bundles. 16-1 is quite a big price.
October 27, 2018 at 01:02 #1378740I’m splitting stakes to max places on Angel Of Harlem and Sykes.
Wouldn’t be a big betting race for me, but a decent one nonetheless.
I think Wait For Me is the most interesting for March.
October 27, 2018 at 11:12 #1378804I have backed two in this but once again am not particularly confident at this time of year on the jumps.
MILROW at 40/1 finished second in the race last year and I do remember it cos I backed it at 66/1 !! Got beat by a good horse in Thomas Campbell but has not reproduced that form since hence the price.
NOTWHATIAM at 8/1 is a Harry and Dan has that warrants respect after winning easy after a wind op and could have a lot more to come.

October 27, 2018 at 15:48 #1378858They are off and running, but I backed Dawn Raider at 12s (nominated in Jac’s Saturday compy

I hope both horses are okay, they said the jockeys got up.
They never actually showed what happened on ITV did they? (camera was on leaders) It was my one which slipped on the bend and brought the other down.
