Poetic Flare, Oxted, Palace Pier, Love, Mohaafeth, Subjectivist, Alenquer, Alcohol Free, Creative Force, Wonderful Tonight, Rohaan.

We were treated this week but what performance stood out?

Rohaan for me, looked like he could be a real monster.

Oisin….. rode a very difficult track like a champion.

Chipotle put up a decent display to win a very competitive 2-year old race (though just a Listed Race) by over two lengths. If it had been trained by AOB, the hype would have been huge.

Otherwise I was impressed with Love’s attitude and the horse that couldn’t stop once he got to the front: Subjectivist

Rohaan was just the FIFTY-SEVEN pounds higher than when winning its first Nursery today.

    What a game this is.

Obvious but it has got to be Poetic Flare. That was some performance after having had hard races in three Guineas.

Agreed. There was only one stand out performance and it was Poetic Flare.

Credit to the Stewards too, who managed to get even further up the backside of Dettori than I thought possible.

    Definitely Poetic Flare.

Proper racehorse – contested three Classics, won one, almost won another, yet turned up and delivered a career best.

Best horse at the meeting all week – and I include Palace Pier and Love in that assessment.

Saul Goodman wouldn’t get a result over Frankie at Ascot.

    Point Lonsdale winning the Chesham.
Guineas fav, Derby fav and potentially the first triple crown winner since Nijinsky. An incredible horse witnessed today on his early steps to greatness.

And of course Subjectivist. Missed training sessions, didn’t get a run into him pre gold cup like they wanted, was injured and ran with his skin scraped off his legs following an accident. Wins hard held on the bridle. The new star of the staying division.

I know it was only a group 3 and he didn’t win by an astonishing margin but I was quite impressed by Creative Force going alone, in front, in the middle, on that ground for quite a long time. I thought oh something will come up the rail or out of the pack and nab him but he stuck to it all by himself and only drifted a little bit.

Wonderful Tonight’s decisive move was good to watch too.

Mohaafeth was my biggest bet of the week, so that was a highlight. I thought Subjectivist looked very good, and I really liked the look of Point Lonsdale today.

But the only time I said “Wow” all week was Poetic Flare. Seriously impressive victory.

Creative Force and Rohaan were the performances for me.

While Poetic Flare looked impressive, I have a niggling suspicion that if Mostahdaf would have got a clear run, Poetic Flare may well have had to fight for it.

From my betting balances point of view it was the stewards promoting campanelle hahahaha

On the track I thought there were several excellent performances from poetic flare, Oxted and subjectivist

Id give the edge slightly to poetic flare

I agree with greenasgrass about creative force and think he is a banker in the prix maurice de gheest over 6 1/2f
