Grasshopper,
There were a lot "postings" originated by Razeen that were deleted because of personal insults.
Take, the "word association" thread that was a total nonsense but, fun. Some, members would try to disrupt it or complain to Daylight that it should be deleted in full as it had no place on "TRF".
The "Lounge" was specifically created – from pressure from existing members – so, all non-racing topics could be catered for. Yet, it seemed that even a "hierarchy" would try and enforce what they thought should go in there.
We really have had some weird people on here over the years and also lost some really good posters as well regrettably.
Regards – Matron

still currently viewable in the back pages of this house.
One must applaud admin for that, and I bring it up, not
to annoy you Matron, but purely in the interests of forensic science.RAZEEN…

Welcome to the third ‘new’ thread this month.
At the current rate, the second Word Asociation thread should drop off the front page towards the end of June.
These garbage threads have ruined this place.

I’m with Razeen on this, although we seem to be in a minority. Think I’ll start participating by adding a word that has no association whatsoever with the preceding entry.Perhaps all forumites bored with "word association" threads should adopt this approach.

If you don’t like this Forum or this thread, then go and post elsewhere insomniac.
Why should the minority spoil other peoples pleasure?
If you don’t like it, then don’t bother reading it.Regards – Matron

Although I’m unsure of the pleasure that you gain from posting your silly [expletive] one word responses to threads, it must be fairly obvious even to you that people aren’t posting on this forum due to these ‘irritating’ threads always being atop.
Why don’t we make a special sub forum for all of those people like matron who get off on this sort of stuff and relieve the (large) minority of us who don’t like it from this dross?
Alternatively what about a Lounge2 forum moderated by somone who deletes d!ck head threads?
___________________________MATRON…
Well go elsewhere and post Razeen if TRF does not appeal to you anymore.
I’m sure you would be the ideal candidate for a "lounge 2" moderator.
____________________________RAZEEN…
I would like that very much and I’m pretty sure I’d make a better fist of it than your sub forum that you have individually posted to for 5 years continuously.
(link to first favourite thread)
How are you fixed for buggering off back there?
(Edited by Razeen at 8:57 pm on April 25, 2006)My comment : I believe Razeen’s original words were descriptively more offensive. He edited his post after 68 mins…(to my memory of it) [/color:3sq3zlmy]

26 Apr 2006 22:21You are welcome disagree guys that is not the problem but you can do it in a manner where you don’t have to be offensive to get your point across or insult a fellow member. I like Raz but I can’t have him abusing fellow members as I have asked to refrain for the same thing previously (he actually requested I remove the old one which seemed to trigger all this off).
I disagree that this topic has no place as if there as if there was no demand there would be no supply.
( The ‘old one’ Daylight referred to was presumably the old word association thread )
January 19, 2010 at 16:55 #270874Gamble,
Now, you can see why "Razeen" was flushed away as they say.
Thanks for reminding me Gamble I, take back my statement about not holding a grudge.
I might even start a new "word association" thread.

Regards – Matron
January 19, 2010 at 17:29 #270881Matron you don’t need to start a
new word association thread
simply go to page 52 to
make Razeen’s endless
purgatory a nightmare.I have never defended Razeen’s words
and punishment I believe was appropriate. We have to consider several points.
This is a gambling forum,
people lose, sometimes large amounts
and their words get skewed.
Razeen was 38 at the time with a new ‘een,
and babies can be stressful.
He once referred to the mighty gold can,
a carlsberg brew he ring pulled to de -stress.
He attacked you an administrator.
He attacked a revenue producing thread
originally started by LRM (Daylight’s wife)
which she publically apologised for
in open forum.
He was at his wits end,
however his consciense was not,
and he did edit his post
to make it less offensive.
He was a huge conrtibutor
over 5000 posts
and over 5 years under his belt.I hope you cool down Matron
although your smiley gives me hope.Razeen did not deserve [b:1agrd0av] DEATH[/color:1agrd0av][/b:1agrd0av]
I rest my case
I leave all administrators to ponder these conscious provoking and pricking words written by a deadman.
EC wrote on the 28th December at teatime (17:01), possibly after polishing off some mince tarts and quite unaware it was to be one of his last Xmas’s
in space.GOOD POSTERS ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF ANY FORUM
January 19, 2010 at 18:01 #270886All good fun this raking-up of the past
‘Tis only a message board

Personally I’m foxed by the association between Tor Mentor, Are Zen and Blackpool Sands if any of you good ol’ boys would care to explain

EC was indeed a valued poster, but hot-of-head. Punting whilst trying to cope with the necessity of a 9-to-5 has that effect
January 19, 2010 at 18:02 #270887"He was at his wits end, however his consciense

his post to make it less offensive.

"less offensive" – still insulting towards me though wasn’t it? Quite a few of his other posts had to be deleted by Daylight and myself that are no longer on "TRF".
Still no excuse to behave like that.

January 19, 2010 at 18:53 #270898Drone good of you to pop
your wise head in here.Yes only a board
but some live real lives
in here, and although there is no
toilet, we have every other facility
to expunge joy and hate in equal measure.Cormack’s finely written tale
( I am sure he had been watching
an old Jeremy Clarkson repeat race.
the yuletide train – the car – the bike
perambulating Britain)
actually provided the energy for this diversion
into well let’s call it an administrator’s nightmare.Had Cormack not been chasing Tor the length
and breadth of Britain, there would have been no
Blackpool bloodbath.
It was a horrible derivative accident
,an innocent casualty of crime time,
the Hide that followed the Jeckyl.Matron if someone tells me to burger orf
I may be offended but do not slit the man’s
throat after looking at his previous.
I deal with it.
As for your first favourite thread,
it stands on firm legs,
and you should be proud,
and shrug off any non-believers
with your shoulders, or throw an egg,
but never never,
a rope round the headRazeen should have been warned of for a period of
3-6 months.Razeen you have brazenly caused offence,
and considering your previous misdemeaners
if your name as much as appears against a post within the
next six calendar monnths you will find yourself
banished from this house forever.
Clear up your cans,
remove your pinstripes,
your scheming plans,
zeen from this place forthwith,
and get your ‘R’ out of hereJanuary 19, 2010 at 19:22 #270905Gamble,
It was a little more than "burger-off" on numerous occasions.
Anyway, there is really nothing more I can add.

January 19, 2010 at 19:42 #270912Matron, I rspect you for coming in here
as I did Cormack,
this thread is not for the faint-hearted.You often credit me with a good memory.
Razeen to my knowledge may have
insulted Sky, quite rudely
on more than one occasion,
but Sky dealt with it.Razeen blasted me once
nothing was removed.I have to agree with Grasshopper
(‘hopper only just read your post overpage
and would agree with you in general)
Razeen was not wicked but irascible. In my living memory of him
I cannot ever remember him being
threatening or abusive, above and beyond
the parameters set down
in this tense gambling den of words.Only his post to you Matron transgessed.
Hopper favours yellow cards and I am
sure Dave Jay who is now enjoying the yellow
is all for yellow too.
I suggest a change in this house. All down to Cormack in the end
( some opinion needs to be concretised
)January 19, 2010 at 19:49 #270914Drone quote…….Punting whilst trying to cope with the necessity of a 9-to-5 has that effect
Cold nights, dark days, much regret,
And yet,
Spring soon offers respite from the daily jam,
With blissful, sunny days spent, punting,
On the River Cam.
KJanuary 20, 2010 at 17:02 #271114VG Kenneth – your own work?
Reads like John Betjeman… or Roger ‘Grantchester Meadows’ Waters

‘Rowing on the Nidd in Knaresborough’ doesn’t conjure up quite the same image of lazy summer languidity, but that’s as good as it gets hereabouts
January 20, 2010 at 18:02 #271130Yes,thanks Drone. Grantchester a delight to the eyes; the old Church, the meadows, the Orchard, Rupert’s museum, Lord Byron’s pond, Lord Archer’s pad. Especially on a bicycle!
KJanuary 20, 2010 at 19:11 #271142For Drone….
Oh to be back in Knaresborough, populace a delight,
Not for them a Starbucks in Starbeck,
Nor jewellers of repute in Bond End;
Though, on the whole Calcutt beats Calcutta and,
Landslides do not happen in Stonefall Avenue.
KJanuary 20, 2010 at 21:51 #271171

VVG KWD – TRF’s own poet laureate, or perhaps EJ Thribb
Kolkat surely?
January 21, 2010 at 18:58 #271291Matron it would appear a little mercy from you would go a long way to allowing Razeen to post … we all make mistakes sometimes
Corm if you get to read this how about a reprieve
cheers

January 21, 2010 at 19:49 #271299Regarding banned members –
The forum takes quite a bit of running. In fact it takes up a disproportionate amount of time, not only moderating but also developing ideas, developing the site itself and dealing with admin related tasks (and there are a surpising amount of those).
Put simply, I don’t have the time to babysit posters who can’t or won’t behave themselves and whose every post needs scrutiny.
Razeen falls firmly into that category.
Plus, any decisions on banning are taking by me and not the moderators. They do a brilliant job and are a real help in the running of the site but it’d be unfair of me to burden them with that task. As the person whose name is on the licence above the door, so to speak, I accept full responsibility and accountability for bannings, etc.
January 21, 2010 at 20:16 #271309Thanks for the clarity Corm ,of course I accept your view someone has to carry the can and the buck stops with you
very much appreciate that,,,,,,I will try to keep my head below the waterline ,as your lectures are just not that acceptable to me …in fact I think this place has become a small girls blouse
If the cap fits wear it
cheers
Ricky
