August 29, 2003 at 09:02 #48963Firstly, thank you all for your kind words and thoughts, they are at this time really appreciated.
MrE.
Mistakes, me, nah never. Cause we are here in ward 7 no one makes mistakes,
Thanks for the input, anything can be improved upon, after all we are all still learning are we not, no matter how long we have been following horse racing. Maths are not really a strong point of mine, so if help is offered I for one will appreciate it’s coming.
For the level stakes I have been simply putting £5 on each selection, and for the staking plan I have done as stated and they are the figures that I have come up with, although as you say one mistake is made and it is of course carried right through.
Just a word of caution, if any of you are taking the selections from the selection box at the RP online site, then do not just take thier word that the numbers are correct, you will have to count them to make sure as there is usually one more to add on.
Good luck.

August 29, 2003 at 16:04 #48965Friday UPDATE…. Robo’s system clocks up yet another winner @ 10/11….
18 Wins from 29 selections…
Level Stakes + 15.01pts for an outlay of 29pts…
Staking Plan + 32.49pts for an outlay of 56pts…
now some of you lot will know how much I hate any staking plan that chases losses and Robo’s plan does just that, sometime, someday, a losing run will bankrupt you. Even with Robs own stakes (£5 per point), how can you put £30 on a horse when only 4 days ago you were betting £2.50, thats retrieval staking of the suicide order and there are far better staking methods than that…… so with Robs permission, I’ll run the 1pt "Rolling Doubles" alongside the other two methods and we’ll see what September brings. I have to be perfectly honest though, if Level Stakes keeps this 50% ROI going, I seriously wouldn’t bother with staking plans…..
RD + 45.53pts for an outlay of 29pts….
Yep, it’ll be great if this keeps going……

August 29, 2003 at 22:47 #48968Mr E would you please explain what you mean by the rolling double? I accept what you are saying about Robots staking plan but I got the impression that without it the system would not necessarily win long term but am interested to see your misgivings. Not sure what to do about my staking now.
August 30, 2003 at 10:49 #48969iow…. the type of staking plan that Robo is using, does rather more than give me misgivings, it starts the brown stuff running down my legs. Its Ok if your just doing a little fun bet or perhaps a comparison with levels, like Daz is doing on his thread, but to actually BET money in this manner will end in tears, believe me, I’ve got the T-shirt….. just analyse Robo’s method (the staking not the system), it is nothing out of the ordinary to expect and get 10 losers on the bounce. This is only a week and a half racing and your first bet would have been a fiver and in the worst scenario, the 10th bet could be costing you £100, who can risk £100 and then drop back to a fiver. If you got to that last loser without caving in, you would have lost 110pts @ £5 = £550…. lets be honest, if I could afford to place £100 on a horse after losing £90 the day before, I wouldn’t be betting in fivers at the start…… you may consider that 10 consecutive losers is a bit "over the top", OK, lets say only 5 losers, by that point you could have forked out 30pts (£150) and the next bet, and its only bet 6, could cost you 12pts (£60). Now lets assume that the 6th GG wins at evens, then you’ve won 12pts, but you’ve lost 30 in the previous 5 bets so your still in deficit to the tune of 18pts (£90) and your expected to go back and start betting in fivers again. It’ll take a lot of winners to pull back that loss, and thats after ONLY 5 losers……. not on mate, its a big no no, if you go down that path you need my boot right up your anus until it reaches the third lacehole…… I’ve gotta study my own horses now, I’ll squitter a bit more later……

August 30, 2003 at 11:06 #48971When you said that you’d squitter a bit more later I don’t think any of us realised just how soon and how much you’d start squittering! ;)
August 30, 2003 at 11:26 #48972Good afternoon all – I have just finished my rounds and now have all this afternoon free to watch the racing in the patients lounge before a bit of "ect" to administer and group therapy this evening. No peace for the wicked.
I could send you a prescription MrE to clear up your "rear" problem – no charge whatsoever.
Nice to see Urban Dave about again.
iow I am sure MrE will explain the"rolling doubles" later for you – very easy, but I will let him take you through it.
Poor old Robotica. he will have to start a new thread when he comes back after all our lampooning.
Regards – Matron
August 30, 2003 at 12:17 #48973Well I’ll be a monkey’s uncle, I never expected so sudden a reply from our very own Furby. It’s damnably good to see you again Urb, I was gonna nip down to Norfolk to give you the "kiss of life" but I didn’t fancy the end you was gonna offer up to my mouth……. uuggghhhhh…. what a yucky thought….. I gotta go and clean my teeth now, the thought of that left a nasty taste in my mouth….. hahahaha…… Yer right Matron, the Robots gonna think you’ve all gone berserk on his thread, it’s a good job he knows that I’m the only sane bugger in Ward 7….. your all bleedin’ head bangers, the lot of ya…… hahahaha…… (MrE walks away giggling gleefully whilst Urby sits there quietly playing with his stick)….. (will some kind soul tell old Urbs that it’ll make him go blind)………..

August 30, 2003 at 13:08 #48975If there are any children reading this thread – let this be a lesson to you. Alcohol and substance abuse will cause you to end up like MrE. He thinks he’s having a meaningful conversation but is, in reality, just huddled in a corner muttering to himself. If only that were dribble down the front of his straight jacket …
August 30, 2003 at 14:09 #48976I will let him watch racing and then its back to the
padded room for MrE for the rest of the day.

August 30, 2003 at 21:14 #48978(Serious Mode)…… (coughs to clear throat)…..
Hi guys, it was great to see another winner go in with the Robots system, Lady Bear @ 5/4, yep, very tasty. Its the end of the month and to date the stats are as follows…..
19 Winners from 30 bets…
Level Stakes = + 16.26pts for an outlay of 30pts…
Staking Plan = + 33.74pts for an outlay of 57pts…
RD = + 49.17pts for an outlay of 30pts….
Losing Runs… 5 (once), 2 (twice)…..
Winning Runs… 6 (once), 3 (twice), and we are at present on a winning run of 4….
If this is the norm and not just a "purple patch", its one of the best systems I’ve seen for a long time, but, and its a big but, the staking MUST be controlled. Im not going to occupy Robo’s thread on this, I’ll start a new one…..
