….Not quite on a par with first two in the National though is it?

Presenting’s a fantastic sire though – and I’ve been a fan ever since he was a racehorse himself!
April 11, 2010 at 01:20 #289516My fathers is old (75) and his name is Victor. I call him ‘Old Vic’ for a laugh, and explained his horse name-sake to him recently. He said that I "should find something better to do, for **** sake"…
I wont tell him he sired the first two home in the National…
April 11, 2010 at 08:41 #289538My favourite, Roselier, had the 1st and 4th in 2002. Would have had the first two had Kingsmark not injured himself on the Melling Rd prior to reaching the second last.
But it’s Old Vic’s second National and in modern terms he has now equalled Roselier, Montelimar and Menelek in this achievement.
He needs to go some to better Roselier’s Scottish and Welsh National record though!

April 11, 2010 at 10:00 #289558Okay, I’ve got a better race than the Grimthorpe, and it was yesterday!
