I think much depends on which engagement the doubly-entered Soulcombe takes up.
The facile Melrose winner seems to have gone up a stone for his Knavesmire romp.

Euchen Glen 5/1 for me
He’s gonna win one of these when he gets a clear run, have a feeling it’ll be today
September 3, 2022 at 10:46 #1613157Yep, I couldn’t not back him for this off the evidence of his last 2 runs. It looks the time to catch him after a fairly underwhelming start to the season. Hard luck story incoming…….again.
September 3, 2022 at 13:10 #1613187Euchen Glen ew 4 places
September 3, 2022 at 13:45 #1613197In the Euchen Glen camp , do needs luck in running but hopefully he,s attacking at the end
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
September 3, 2022 at 14:14 #1613206Last year’s winner Island Brave is actually on a 3lb lower mark now, hasn’t been running THAT badly, and five-pound claimer Gina Mangan, who has been an apprentice like FOREVER, seems one of life’s late developers to me because she’s riding pretty well this year.

September 3, 2022 at 15:00 #1613219How did Paul find trouble in running again in such a small field ?

September 3, 2022 at 19:45 #1613259Euchen Glen must wonder why he bothers. He’s either staring at the backsides of his opponents all the way up the home straight looking for a gap or he’s getting mullered in a six runner race.
Absolutely delighted for Gina. As Ian says she’s a late developer. After a rare win a few years ago she said in her interview that she spent her evenings studying the form. Great to see the hard work finally paying off.

When you hear a jockey say: “I’m on a horse who is 3lb below last year’s winning mark and it will love the ground, it wouldn’t be running if it didn’t” you know she’s done her homework.
It was an interview and a ride that deserves to open doors for her – she’s stuck at the game, never been fashionable, and she’s steadily got better and better.
She thoroughly deserves this big-race win and it won’t be her last.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"September 3, 2022 at 20:26 #1613272I was impressed when she gave credit to De Sousa for his ride on Island Brave last year and then said she tried to emulate it.
She’s a great talker and like you Ian I hope this opens more doors for her.
