DK normally brings his better jumpers out over Christmas at Leopardstown. He likes to give them a break after their flat exertions.

Shot From The Hip looks more of a stayer than a two miler to me. I thought it was a nice enough introduction for him today and he should go well on better ground.

O’Grady looks to hold a strong hand this season with The Real Article and Staying Article. He had reservations about Staying Article on today’s ground so that was quite impressive. I think he goes for the Royal Bond next so if there is a horse for the Supreme in the yard, he looks the one. The Real Article has been put away for the spring – probably going to be aimed at Liverpool because EJOG thinks he’ll be more suited to flat tracks.

Saffran De Cotte made it 3/3 in his career with a cosy success in his hurdling debut at Bangor today beating the Curtis/McManus horse Scoter Fontaine having led from the off.

Was very impressed with him in his two bumper runs at Market Rasen (where he was very green but ran on well to lead close home) and Haydock where he beat a poor field.

Not saying he’ll be a Cheltenham horse but he looks one to keep on the right side of at around this trip and looks capable of winning under a penalty IMO.

Didn’t beat anything at all but Zaidpour looked a nice prospect. Very well bred and at the right address.

Champion Court was schooled over hurdles the other day amd MK said he jumped for fun and will now go hurdling. Can’t wait.. soon get my money back :P

Could have jumped better but this is a class horse..12/1 to 5/1 won by an easy 7 lengths.

Couldn’t put that one in my little thing with TAPK would have had him in tears

I had a big bet on Champion Court @10’s good racing in Fairyhouse on Sunday:Mikael D is a good thing seen him after racing-machiene and zaidpour is a good thing in what looks a poor Royal Bond im getting on again for cheltenham already on a 33/1

Quite impressed with Prince Of Pirates. Personally, I think he always had the leader covered and the fall left him in front far earlier than he would have wanted. He probably didn’t beat a great deal but won much more easily than the official verdict. Obviously, it is difficult backing him for the Supreme given the stable/owner options but at this stage I would prefer him to Kid Cassidy.

Clearly the market for the Supreme will get a major shake up if Cue Card wins tomorrow and goes down the Champion Hurdle route. Horses who were 33/1 will become 10/1 chances.

What a performance by Mossey Joe, pulled for the entire race and won on the bridle over 3m in a hack canter. Wonder what price for the Albert Bartlett?

Willie Austin has said he will go chasing, good horse it has to be said…

    Visually very impressive.

Not sure the opposition was up to much though. Don’t think Araucaria stayed and she was well stuffed up the north last time out anyway. Askanna has impressive form figures next to her name but she’s been very well placed by Colin Bowe. She failed to beat L’Ami in a novice hurdle at Galway a few runs back!!

I’d like to see the winner again. I suspect he’ll be going back over fences though.

    IC,

Visually impressive yes, however, he pulled so hard, and to still win in that manner, impressed me!

Irish National the plan for him apparently.

Pleasing introduction for Bishopsfurze. That Punchestown bumper he won is working out nicely – Kid Cassidy and Gagewell Flyer in behind.

Very ambitious target running him in the Irish National IC.

Hopefully Hidden Universe runs at the Christmas meeting.

Was Spanish Treasure sold? Liked him a lot at Punchestown.

In a bumper tomorrow at Kempton Park for Andrew Turnell I see. Surprised he didn’t get snapped up by one of the bigger owners/yards to be honest.

No sign of Last Instalment anywhere in the entries for the first two days at either Leopardstown or Limerick. Can’t find an update on him anywhere?

I don’t know where Willie Mullins finds there horses.

Someone just said Zaidpour is a beast on another thread so I had a look. Should have looked sooner I know!!!

To be fair he’s only at the stage now that Cue Card was at prior to losing to Menorah so he’s still got a lot to prove.

I do like this horse though. and that win was far more impresive to me than the favourites wins in his novices.

A much more compact relaxed horse and PT did no more than change hands to get him to move up a gear. He put a helluva lot of distance between himself and Davy Russell in a very short space of time and could have about doubled the distance if he had wished.

He’s very much a "it’s not what you beat but the way that you do it" horse and my friend up there who says he’s going to back him every week for Cheltenham could do a lot worse. Doubt if he’ll be 5/1 much longer though.

Not the slickest of hurdlers and he did take a bit of time getting from one side to the other at some of his hurdles but with a few more races and a stronger pace hopefuly he’ll improve in that department.

The 2011 Supreme is still in it’s infancy with others like Nicky Henderson still to play their hands but they’ll need to have something really good to beat this horse.
