February 12, 2008 at 14:02 #142547You’re lucky, lent him a fiver for some fags once, never paid me back.
February 12, 2008 at 15:40 #142561Noland had a good prep run today, without even stepping out of his box – in the shape of Polinamix.

thanks, Colin
I was hoping Noland would run again prior to Cheltenham, a lovely horse, thats won me a good few quid, mind you PNs horses full stop have served me well.
Ive always looked out forhis horses, as my mates dad was a member of the "eight amigos racing syndicate" who owned Lou Du Moulin Mas, and my boss is friends with John Hales’s son Robert, who Ive met a few times, so have always had a little flutter on Noland, Granit Jack before his fall, Azertyuiop was another great horse, and always had a dabble on Neptunes Collonges.
looking forward to hopefully getting some help through here and bashing the bookies
February 12, 2008 at 16:43 #142578Hopefully Beckster will pop in with an update on Noland.
February 12, 2008 at 16:46 #142579I read that Sandown on the 22nd was the plan
Perhaps Beckster will confirm?
February 22, 2008 at 09:01 #145425With Nicholls saying that Noland is up to cheltenham winning form at the minute and needs to just keep him well for cheltenham, and his market support right into 11/4 with some firms not being reflective of his last run, it is going to be very ineteresting to see just how good he is today.
Also, Imagine next years champ chase picture with Noland, Twist Magic and Noland all coming from the Nicholls Stable, noland is as good as the markets suggest. Nicholls has said hewould like to see noland over further, but its still a thought.
February 22, 2008 at 09:39 #145432How can 7/2 be a nailed on e/w bet. You lose money if he comes 2nd? Doesn’t sound like good practice to me…
February 22, 2008 at 14:33 #145524Should Noland fail to win today (unlikely, I know), then he will definitley not run in the Arkle at Cheltenham.

Yes, confirmed by Paul Nicholls on At The Races just a few moments ago.
February 22, 2008 at 14:50 #145531Despite having backed him at 16/1 and I know I should be chuffed but he is a ridicously low price for the Arkle. You would expect him to hack up today with a clear round and they will probaly cut another point off him.
Even if he does hack up today I wouldn’t dream of betting him at his current price.
I hope he gets a decent warm up today and races against a couple of decent animals before he goes to the Festival……If not he will think he has gone into orbit when he goes to Cheltenham Hope he wins the Arkle but I am not that confident he will without some good experience of jumping at speed.
February 22, 2008 at 14:59 #145534Its the fact that his price is way too short that is the positive, you can bet it wasnt punters put him that short. His last run was pretty decent but i dont know anyone who would think it was as low as 11/4 decent. There was a lot of money came in for him last week, antepost gambles seem to be talking with the nicholls horses at the minute
February 22, 2008 at 15:16 #145540I hope he gets a decent warm up today and races against a couple of decent animals before he goes to the Festival……
You can have 50s with me that he runs again after today and before the Arkle- no chance.
February 22, 2008 at 15:37 #145547Arkle winner ? Hmm ?
Not judging by that performance.

February 22, 2008 at 15:37 #145548Sounded like a horrible fall there from Psychomodo, especially as it sounded like Psychomodo was challenging Noland all the way.
