I have always rated Noel as a cracking jockey and was intrigued to see how he stepped in for Ruby on better class animals (with all due respect to Charlie Mann’s yard).
He seems to be totally unfazed and I have been greatly impressed with him.
Anyone else got any views ?November 20, 2010 at 21:17 #328938Sorry everyone, the title should be "class" and not "claas"
November 20, 2010 at 22:28 #328953Can’t disagree with you Coggy, I haven’t always been a huge fan of Fehily, but ever since he took over from the injured Ruby Walsh I have been most impressed with him, and his three wins today for Nicholls were excellent rides.
I’m wondering if he would be a better deputy on Denman and Kauto Star.
November 21, 2010 at 08:14 #328984Yes he’s a good jockey, very good in fact. But he hasn’t done anything different these last two or three weeks to what he’s been doing the last two or three seasons. It’s just that he’s getting far more chances now he’s riding for Nicholls.
Put Lionel Messi in say the West Ham side and he’ll score 15-20 goals a season. Put him in an Arsenal or Man Utd side and he’ll score 30-40 goals a season. His ability is exactly the same, he just gets more chances at the bigger club.
