October 13, 2009 at 21:44 #253211Who said this before a horse from stall 2 won at Winsdor yesterday ?

I figured that out 4 years ago Barry lol
I don’t need Mr Davies to tell me that.October 13, 2009 at 22:03 #253216I am sure there are various blacksmith accounts in profit. Sadly my own account is at a loss, but I still bet mainly on course in cash. Call me a traditionalist.
October 13, 2009 at 22:12 #253218Any chance of a link to the story Barry? I can’t find it on the site.
October 13, 2009 at 22:17 #253221dunno how to do that link or copy and paste stuff.
centre page pull out on internet betting, headline,
SPECTACULAR SUCCESS STORY THAT MADE BETFAIR A WINNER.
its a whole bloody page would be here forever typing that lot,
aint there another londoner got it.
October 13, 2009 at 23:01 #253225They give the London Evening Standard away these days – you don’t think Barry would actually pay for it, do you? – which means, ironically, that you can’t get your hands on it at this time of night. As I have just found.

latching on to the words "in UK":
apart from Ireland and mainland Europe and farther afield, there are some discrete legal jurisdictions in that part of the North Atlantic which are not part of the UK:
Isle of Man (approx pop 76,000)
Jersey (87,000)
Guernsey (60,000)
Alderney (2,400)
Sark (600)might he be saying that all BF’s former UK shrewdies have now quit the UK ?
or that the premium charge has done for them ?
October 14, 2009 at 00:29 #253239Obviously a reasonable amount of UK punters win on Betfair or is this headline just a play on words regarding the premium charge and the recent changes to it.
Hopefully this article will appear on the internet sometime in the future.
October 14, 2009 at 00:33 #253240It’s not very fair at all if you ask me. Cheeky sods just realised they were taking cut out of my profits. obviously that’s this commission thing. they don’t tell you about it though do they. flamin cheek

Yeah apparently they dip their hands into peoples winnings to give themselves money to advertise. So you can sleep safe in the knowledge that you’ll win less money in order to make them richer.
October 14, 2009 at 01:11 #253253latching on to the words "in UK":
Definitely not true.
I read somewhere else that the quote was "win
consistently
", in which case you might want to latch on to the word "consistently", m’lud.
October 14, 2009 at 01:45 #253262
What does ‘win’ mean and what does ‘consitently’ mean?Profit??? in one day/month/year/decade???
Win consistently, make a profit
Win consistently, make a loss
Win inconsistently, make a profit
Win inconsistently, make a loss
???

Like they say with fruit machines, the only winner is the owner.
Barry owns the odds, Betfair own the commision
We are just the bate, keep em coming boys!
October 14, 2009 at 10:07 #253278Didnt realise you were a fisherman in your spare time Barry.
October 14, 2009 at 11:46 #253287In a gold rush the only ones guaranteed a profit are those selling shovels and picks.
October 14, 2009 at 12:25 #253290I know several punters that CONSISTENTLY win playing in-running that live in London.
If being a fisherman is asking the question, who’s telling fibs?
pass me rod
