However, why bring up the fact that these call centres are in India at all? Why not just say “their call centre is crap”? Mentioning India does make it look as though there is an underlying dissatisfaction of some sort.

Racing UK’s Scottish call centre is full of idiots.

Because it’s a relevant fact. I hate Indian call centres, because they cannot speak English properly half of the time. How would that not be frustrating? I would repeat the same statement, replacing Indian with Scottish regarding your next post.
I did not realise that I’m a knuckle dragger. Thanks for enlightening me. I’m 44, a former plastering contractor for most of my life. Born/lived in South London my whole life nigh on. (it actually says ‘true cockney’ on my birth certificate, bow bells blah blah). I have hundreds of friends, loads of black mates, a few Asian mates, the business I’m in now, is a very male orientated one. The Asian mates I have, say exactly the same as me… “Can’t understand them, and they don’t understand me”. Are they a bit racist too?

Happy to report that my experiences as a Virgin Net/Media/Web/whatever else user of nineteen years’ standing would be the exact opposite.
The non-UK call centre operatives, as has been widely reported previously including a core of graduate and postgraduate level students, are intelligent, inquisitive (as far as the scripted parts of their job will permit them to be, admittedly), unstintingly polite and blessed with mellifluous accents that take little to no working out. They and I have never not enjoyed wholly satisfactory interaction when the need has arisen.
The UK equivalents… not so much.

Totally disagree. Had my account hacked and they did nothing about it or had any understanding of the problems it went on to cause. They were crap
