I wonder, I wonder. Is it misguided loyalty, sado-masochism, or a cricket-related adrenalin rush. You’re once, twice….three times a……………a winner!!!!
KI like that, Cheers Ken.

I’m hoping this one breaks my run of defeats otherwise I’m going to have to dust off my scrims and get my lazy backside up my ladder. The horse deserves a big win after a royal ding dong at Ascot in the Gold Cup and wasn’t far behind the impressive King George winner Harbinger earlier on in the season.
£4.00 win.

July 30, 2010 at 07:54 #309866Hope you don’t fall off Nathan!
Must admit I went for Illustrious, a last minute desperation choice as I needed a price to bring me back to levels. Do you think AofA was going like the winner or would I have still done you?
Cheers
KJuly 30, 2010 at 10:01 #309890Good question Ken. I thought it was all a bit rushed from the start really. ok so they wanted to use AoA’s stamina but he’s ran well over shorter distances and perhaps they could of settled him just in behind and took over closer to home a bit like what Yeats use to do. Just hope he makes a good recovery.
I’m getting my scatter-gun out today cant do much worse than what I’m already doing, might add to the misery though.

I’ve fired some bullets and come up with these three.
5.10 Galway –
Kalellshan
3/1 (bog)
Handicap hurdle with a big field but this one stands out at the head of the market. won 4 days ago which might suggest with the quick return that the horse is fit and well.
7.30 Newmarket –
Skyfire
11/2 (bog)
Another making a quick return to the track after a win for the inform trainer Mark Johnston and has the experience of Dettori on board.
8.25 Galway –
Myrine

This one comes up against more experienced horses but after a slightly unlucky debut was greatly impressive when bolted up by a good furlong LTO and wasn’t stopping so the step up in trip shouldn’t be a concern on pedigree either.
all three £1.00 win.

July 30, 2010 at 20:42 #310083Seems as if we were both on form today (see Bangor 2.00) and well done Nathan. Nice 11/4 winner, 5/1 second and using my old software you found yourself a non-runner.
Have a good weekend.
KJuly 30, 2010 at 22:07 #310107You are on a winning streak old boy, keep it going and your odds for the next Bob Rolf 4pp will be slashed to pieces.
My slice of luck today extended to the Goodwood comp with 4 winners 6/1, 5/4, 3/1 + 15/2 so if I can keep myself within the top 3 dear Cormack and co will be sending me a computer game.

Last day tomorrow of the world tipping championships and I’ve managed a entry in the naps section everyday bar a couple and will end in + points so I’m quite pleased with that.

Has two 2nds to his name including going down at 1/4 last time but the winner of that race had previously lost to Dunboyne Express who went on to slaughter a smart field including Samuel Morse in good fashion so perhaps Enchanted Forest can be forgiven for that and on ratings stands head and shoulders above these.

I’m changing tactics, going to hold back and wait for something I really fancy like Memory in the Moyglare if conditions suit or horse of the year Canford Cliffs at his favourite track Ascot in the Queen Elizabeth II stakes who will win his 4th Group 1 of the season in this race and with a bit of luck be up against other great horse’s so to get a good price with the likes of Paco Boy, Dick Turpin, Rip Van Winkle, Goldikova and Fencing Master.

These Athletes winning Gold medals in the European Championships should be made to wait for 2012 to win this award as McCoy has waited years to have the chance and hopefully finally winning the Grand National will see him get rewarded.

I’m a sucker for punishment…… but I suppose you’ve gotta speculate to accumulate..

This one has swerved much easier races since going out like a puff of dust on debut yet is lining up here in a group 1 against 2000 Guineas fav Strong Suit who is rated by R Hughes as the best Hannon 2 year old so I guess you could say he is a danger to my selection. I’m guessing Glor would have improved for his 1st race experience and considering Samuel Morse didn’t run much better after the amount of races he’s had I’m not keen on that one. I do like Zoffany but feel he’s more suited to 7 furlongs as he travels but to my untrained eye needs plenty of time to get into top gear.

Really impressed with this one yesterday, looked slightly green early doors but as soon as Manning settled him he traveled a beaut and in only his second race a group 1 against Hannon’s best two year old and Zoffany. Bred to get the mile.

Playing up my winnings from Conundrum’s tip this morning…
. The camp seem very confident about Dick staying the trip and he hasn’t ran a bad race as a three year old. Rip looked much better last time out but feel he is worth taking on.£2.50 each-way 1/4 odds 3 places.

August 13, 2010 at 17:15 #312633Sorry to say, Nathan, but I reckon you’ve made a big mistake there. From what I remember of my childhood, Dick Turpin is the name of the man who goes around robbing people. Surely you’d be better putting your money on a horse because I can’t see a man beating a horse in a fairly run race? But then again, maybe you have some inside info.
Good luck.August 18, 2010 at 21:23 #313495Juddmonte International –

Hoping for a fast pace as this horse will travel all day and the track will suit as she was just touched off last time with Ascots stiffer finish being a hindrance. The Gosden filly is unbeaten and will start fav but Hayley’s mount holds form with most of the others and is preferred at the odds.
