Hi guys
I’m new here but have been a previous reader of some of your posts which has been helpful over the years in developing my strategy!
At the moment I’m using a really successful lay strategy which is seeing me pull in around £400-500 a month based on £20-30 bets.
The horse I picked today was for the Fakenham – 1.30Pm and the lay horse was Gavroche Gaugain which did in fact, lose!
So another successful day, but was thinking about starting to pit my selections to you guys. You can either follow them and actually bet on them too, or just watch and see how successful the method actually is.
I’ll post back later with tomorrow’s selection!
Bye for now

and certainly those kind of figures are nothing to snear at, well done.
Are you suggesting there is a profit to be made from backing them?

November 16, 2010 at 20:36 #328265Hi Billion
Thanks for the reply. Im not suggesting that there’s money to be made backing them as I’m only having 2 or 3 losing horses per month and all odds are usually under 4.5.
So even a losing horse would only take me 3.5 bets to recover any lost funds.
I’ll start posting up my selections so you guys can follow too

November 16, 2010 at 22:16 #328291Hi All
Unfortunately, it’s not a brilliant looking set of race cards tomorrow so no selections, which is a little bit disappointing but better to stay out of the races than gamble on a whim!
Stay tuned for Thursday.
Bye for now

November 17, 2010 at 22:13 #328398Hi Guys
Unusual day tomorrow as there’s two selections!
I usually try to get it down to 1 selection a day but these two were so close together in terms of the selection process that I have decided to go with both:-
Wincanton – 1.20PM – Lay: Perception
MarketRasen – 3.40PM – Lay: Grand Award
Paper trade, trade for real, don’t trade at all, it’s up to you guys, but these are hot picks!
Speak tomorrow for the results…

November 18, 2010 at 13:36 #328486Hi guys
For
3.40 – Market Rasen race
, please do not lay Grand Award as the main competition has been declared a non runner. If you had already laid (as I had!) please trade-off to minimilise loss. Do this at your earliest convenience to avoid the price dropping any further.
Results:-
1.20 – Wincanton – Perception – 2nd

November 19, 2010 at 18:41 #328691Well done Sir.
But oh too stressful for me.

November 19, 2010 at 19:18 #328698Why stressful billion?
Ever tried with really small stakes? The good thing about this system is it’s not a "fad" and not something which is based on just a few factors. I really research the horses I lay and spend up to two hours a night looking over all the information etc.
This puts the risk at minimal.
I think you should give it a go using just £2 stakes! Not much risk there!

Edward
,
Betters and layers need each other, fact.
I tried my hand at both, well being a better I dabbled with laying and hated it.
For me and can only speak for myself, all the fun went out of it. I love watching (or listening) to a race and having my selection in contention and still find it a thrill when I pick the winner, I am satified just to know horse and rider did their best to win, even if they did not do so but it justifies my having a bet.
But watching a race (or listening) and wanting my selection to lose, for me just is not right and I found it much too stressfull.
Racing for me is, how can I best describe it? is a fun/reward passtime. Fun I hope it will always be and with a little luck the fun is rewarded with a profit.
I think you layers have to have "Balls" and it is something I am afraid I lack (in the metaphoric sense).

November 19, 2010 at 23:18 #328750Hi Billion
Well I guess each to their own! I understand what you mean about it being a fun/past-time thing for you though.
However, for me, rather than a hobby or something I enjoy, I’ve always done it for a bit of extra money. However, nowadays this has been built upon and I’m earning quite a bit and looking to expand that further with increased stakes. I’ve used this method for quite a few years now and it took a while to have confidence in it even though I was getting consistent results.
But rather than it being a ‘system’ where I’m blindly laying, it’s more like maths for me and i consider it more ‘investment’ than ‘gambling’ and maybe that’s where the difference is?!
BTW, on a side note, there’s no selections for tomorrow!
Speak soon
EdNovember 19, 2010 at 23:37 #328754Interesting stuff Ed, a promising start good luck with it!
November 22, 2010 at 19:59 #329294Hi all
After a break yesterday, there are no selections for tomorrow.
Thanks
EdwardNovember 24, 2010 at 08:13 #329535Hi all
Today’s selection:-
2.15-Chepstow, LAY – Radmore’s Revenge
At the moment the price is around 5, you must only lay if the price hits 4.8 or under. If it does not, please leave alone. Best thing to do would be to place an unmatched bet at 4.7/4.8 and await to see if it gets matched.
Thanks

November 24, 2010 at 19:48 #329675Genius Which it seems u are. One question, i have a dabble, and even opened up a betfair account as they seemed to offer better odds on certain races, my question is this tho, laying horses, if the horse wins can i only lose a certain amount, or can i be hit for a bundle
