Working on my speed figures for Nass this morning, I was looking at a speed figure at 0.00s/f per furlong for 2yo winner Oklahoma City of 143 and that’s without the WFA allowance <!– s:shock: –>
<!– s:shock: –>After working on the rest of the races, I ended up with a going allowance of +0.75s/f per furlong, which I would have to describe as hard going something I saw last year at Wexford where I had the going allowance at +0.60s/f.
After the going allowance adjustment Oklahoma City speed figure is now 79 <!– s8) –>
<!– s8) –>Maybe I should add a hard going line to my turf going allowance table like this <!– s:shock: –>
<!– s:shock: –>Turf going allowance table:
Hard +0.65s/f to +0.80s/f
Firm +0.55s/f to +0.63s/f
Good/firm +0.20s/f to +0.53s/f
Good -0.25s/f to +0.18s/f
Good/soft -0.55s/f to -0.28s/f
Soft -1.00s/f to -0.58s/f
Heavy -1.58s/f to -1.03s/fMaybe the official going description should have read (hard going with concrete in places) <!– s:D –>
