Weather scuppering plans to run Frank on turf but will keep getting entries with plenty of suitable opportunities to run if the weather breaks.
He is entered at both Beverley and Newbury on Tuesday.
Foxy is also entered in the Beverley race.
June 21, 2010 at 16:57 #302478Both due to run tomorrow.
Will be Foxy’s swansong if he fails to show some promise in div 2 of the apprentices race.
Frank goes to Newbury from out of the handicap,be interesting to see how he gets on.
June 23, 2010 at 05:36 #302694Finally a result and a change of fortune with Frank gamely making all in a depleted field at Newbury.
Sadly I wasn’t there which I’m gutted about.Foxy ran his best race for a while to finish 5th at Beverley.
Whether that will get him a reprieve or not I’m not sure.June 25, 2010 at 06:03 #303027Frank WON?????? Awesome!
June 30, 2010 at 10:28 #303886Both due to run Friday.
Frank should have a good chance in the apprentices race at Haydock.
Another poor draw will probably scupper Foxy’s chances at Beverley.
July 3, 2010 at 06:24 #304281That’ll be it for Foxy and will be kept by Michael as a lead horse.
He hasn’t ruled out giving him a run or two in his own colours at some stage in the future.Frank finished 2nd and ran a respectable race, wasn’t really ran to suit.
July 19, 2010 at 01:29 #307186Foxy has already had a run for the Dods’ last Tuesday finishing 5th.
Frank goes to Yarmouth on Tuesday with a decent shout of continuing his useful progression.
Meanwhile we are likely to take on lily as Foxy’s replacement and she should be running in bumpers in the autumn.
Hopefully it will also see the return of our colours on the course.July 19, 2010 at 05:11 #307188Shame about Foxy but nice to see Frank doing well. I’d forgotten Lily
July 20, 2010 at 19:20 #307615Congratulations all!
July 21, 2010 at 18:12 #307788thanks ST.
The blind was removed late by Andy Elliott and he gave them about 3 lengths at the start and was 6 to 8 lengths off the pace after a furlong.
Cut through them with relative ease though and won a shade cosily in the end.
Hopefully he wont get clobbered for that because if anything he idled in front and only got home by half a length in the end.
We are pretty confident he will be winning again shortly off any sort of mark in the mid to high 50’s because we think he’s still relatively unexposed and some way short of the mark he’s capable of racing off on turf.
Lily’s back cantering and so will hopefully be making her bow in our colours in bumpers in the Autumn.
July 22, 2010 at 16:41 #307945Wins again, 9/2, well done.
July 22, 2010 at 17:09 #307946If only!
Nah,that was The Names Is Frank.
Easy mistake to make as both are consistent sprinters who win in their turn (although we think Yourelikemefrank has quite a bit more to come).
All being well he’ll be back on the track in a couple of weeks time.
July 22, 2010 at 20:45 #307994Oops.
will keep an eye out for your one.
August 3, 2010 at 12:11 #310715A couple of races for Frank a week Friday at Nottingham and Kempton respectively which he’ll probably get entries for.
August 11, 2010 at 11:28 #312175Frank runs at Notts, where ironically Foxy will be one of his opponents.
August 14, 2010 at 16:04 #312761Foxy bottled it being a NR,but Frank didn’t & finished a creditable 4th on ground he hated.
August 22, 2010 at 09:23 #314156Weather permitting will be running again sometime this week.
