She finished 6th of 9 but although it was past beaten horses, she was running on a bit at the end. A success of sorts
August 4, 2022 at 16:36 #1609990A stupendous performance to beat three, yes THREE of her rivals.
Travelled beautifully for much of the way too.
Yet another career best surely for this exciting progressive filly!

August 4, 2022 at 17:12 #1609996Only beaten 11 and three quarter lengths and had horses with ORs of 50, 45 and 43 left toiling in her imperious wake!

I propose we get Ness Ta Rah t-shirts printed.
August 4, 2022 at 18:15 #1610006Is this going to turn into another Quixall Crossett?
August 4, 2022 at 18:34 #1610010The mighty Ness Ta Rah would murder – I repeat: MURDER – Quixall Crosset.
Over 6f-7f round Brighton.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"August 4, 2022 at 20:04 #1610028Does she need further. A stiff test at 7 or a mile?
August 4, 2022 at 22:38 #1610042She needs three miles and hurdles.
2024 Pertemps Final is the target.
August 29, 2022 at 18:42 #1612821Here we go again, this time in the 2.25 at Chepstow tomorrow. The comment on my ATR tracker notification couldn’t be more succinct and damning – “Has no form”. The RP is no kinder – “No real sign of ability. Easy to dismiss even at this level” (a class 6 Classified Stakes over 6F). Generally an 80/1 shot but a whopping 125/1 with Bet365. Come on Ness, prove them all wrong!
August 29, 2022 at 18:50 #1612822Her OR has risen in recent outings from 18 to 25 – an astonishing percentage improvement.
She also achieved a career best RPR of 30 last time out.
And she beat three horses LTO, another new personal best.
By any reasonable measure, this is a progressive filly!
Going to Chepstow instead of Brighton (previous five runs) can only freshen her up and the track will suit.
I’m expecting another big run!

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"August 30, 2022 at 16:05 #1612874Still no nearer any glory. Although our heroine beat the 7-1 shot Fact Or Fable and one of Richard Hannon’s – as well as one that unseated at the start – she still finished 12/15. Tough times ahead.
August 30, 2022 at 16:11 #1612875It’s another scintillating display.
She’s beaten horses with ORs of 46 and 45 and intimidated one rival so much by her commanding presence it unseated rider at the start.
If only she could race off her OR of 25 – she’d win half the track!

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"August 30, 2022 at 18:46 #1612885Brilliant!
August 30, 2022 at 19:40 #1612890It will come to the surprise of absolutely nobody that Ness Ta Rah is upholding a long family tradition of highly talented racemares.
Her ninth dam, Verdict, had none other than Pharos behind her when winning the 1923 Cambridgeshire, before going on to land the Coronation Cup the following season. At stud, she produced Quashed (winner of the 1935 Oaks and 1936 Gold Cup), Thankerton (second in the 1936 Derby and 2,000 Guineas) and Versicle (winner of the 1933 Ribblesdale).
Closer to Ness Ta Rah are numerous top fillies including Her Ladyship (3/2), Attraction (4/3), Sonic Lady (5/3), Major Emblem (3/5), Lady Lupus (5/4), Deirdre (5/5), Songline (5/6) and Jet Setting (5/8)
If she is not annually producing seven figure yearlings in her inevitable career as a sought out broodmare, there is something very wrong with the bloodstock industry. Indeed, I reckon Juddmonte will be paying for the right to allow Ness Ta Rah be covered by Frankel.
