Neil I left a note on the Week 8 thread that you missed out that
I had Orazio placed at 16/1. If you could sort that before marking
    up Onesmoothoperator for today :good:

    HONOURABLE MENTIONS

Those who included in their reserves scoring horse was

CHIVER1987, STEVE75 and myself with the winner ONESMOOTHOPERATOR.

While DUKE OF OXFORD was the reserve of JOHN GOOCH and DFWARD.

Those who had a place horse as their win choice was

ROBNORTH with EVALUATION, really unlucky there, mate

REFUSE TO BEND had the same trouble with DUKE OF OXFORD.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.
    Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.

Hope you get a few winners, too! Both in the competition section, but more importantly hope you get profits from those bookmakers/exchanges.

    AND THE POINTS GOES TO

Normally start with the winner, but the 40/1 second requires vision to predict.

Which leads me to both REFUSE TO BEND and YAHOO.

YAHOO had both winners in the period where I was off. So this is a hat trick for him.

    REFUSE TO BEND’s old score (-331.25) – stake (100) + winnings (275) = new score (-206.25)

    YAHOO’s old score (+337.50) – stake (100) + winnings (275) = new score (+512.50)

JOHN GOOCH and BIGG had this week’s winner, well done guys :rose:

    JOHN GOOCH’s old score (+359.37) – stake (100) + winnings (425) = new score (+684.37)

    BIGG’s old score (-65.62) – stake (100) + winnings (650) = new score (+484.38)

Also getting into the act of picking winners this week was EUROALIEN and ILLAVIM

    EUROALIEN’s old score (+806.25) – stake (100) + winnings (100) = new score (+806.25)

    ILLAVIM’s old score (+137.50) – stake (100) + winnings (125) = new score (+162.50)

You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.
    Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.

Let’s get serious for a moment, here comes the following messages…

First: The usual but all important check your scores for errors and let me know if I’d made any.
I will correct it if any are found ASAP . For both weeks

Second : As always I must give my acknowledgement to Pat123 for inspiring this competition.

Third : Anyone wishing to join can do so at anytime :good: It’s never too late.

Fourth. Thank you to all who’s taken part this week. Hope to see you all next week and back those winners.

P.S. That’s the nature of picking big prices (or value to steal Ginger’s term),Refuse. A little luck in running will see them come in occasionally and even win like Robnorth had last season.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.
    Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.

Was surprised by the price of Evaluation, it was only 22/1 when I backed it at around 11am. Sadly for me I backed it to win so I’m not making money today. Still , picking up a few more points in this competition is a nice consolation.
