To anybody who might be considering a visit to Musselburgh on Sunday I’ll try to keep you informed of the weather in the East of Scotland.
Musselburgh tends to avoid the excesses of the weather, even during cold periods BUT there is currently a frost forecast tonight followed by a cold Saturday then another frost. Temperatures forecast to rise Sunday morning. If the forecast is accurate then there must be some doubt about the meeting taking place.
Out on a bit of corporate ‘piss up’ tonight but I’ll update this thread during the day tomorrow.

With a heavy frost forecast for tonight and low temperatures tomorrow , the course have called an inspection for 2pm tomorrow (Saturday).

The course passed an inspection today.
It was snowing in Edinburgh early this afternoon, but basically wet stuff and it doesn’t seem cold enough to be a threat. Providing there’s not a hard frost, and at present the forecast is for no more thabn a touch of forst, then there should be nop roblems for tomorrow’s meeting.
