Crossed off another course off my list yesterday with a visit to Musselburgh, it was a bit of a hike from the Sussex Coast. I took the train to Gatwick, EasyJet from Gatwick to Edinburgh, tram into the city then a bus to Musselburgh.
I had my RUK badge so got free entry which saved £15, race card was £2.50, had a pint for £4 which was cheaper than down South and a decent burger was £3 again a lot cheaper than other places.
It didn’t seem that busy a crowd so viewing was good with my binoculars the whole course round although they had the big screen I prefer using the bins. Must have been my lucky day as had 3 winners from 5 bets so the day paid for itself.
I left the course just before 5pm after the last race and got home at 1130pm with the same journey in reverse but an enjoyable day all in all and a course I’d recommend anyone to visit.
