Entries……………
https://www.racingpost.com/racecards/188/limerick/2025-10-19/905242
Usually quite strong on one for this at the entry stage, but I’m happy to hold fire for this, even if a market forms, which isn’t always the case
Interest at this stage revolves around the Elliott and McNamara yards
If pushed for a #1, right now it would be Pied Piper. Always one I liked over hurdles, and a promising start to his chasing career. Thought he was going very well in The Kerry National, when falling, and reckon he’d have been in the mix. Stablemate Boston Rover is on a roll, and a horse who should have a good season. Be interesting if he came over to Chepstow at the weekend too. Three Card Brag seems to have been around forever, but he’s actually not got that many miles on the clock. Didn’t do much wrong at Listowel, and looks to have a real shout here
This is a race I always give the Eric McNamara horses a second look, and really do like a couple of his. Both French Dynamite and Weveallbeencaught advertised their claims at Listowel, and of big interest
Got to have an eye on the Mullins candidates too, his A Penny A Hundred is a horse who is being brought along quietly, and she’s one I’ve got an eye on for the season
Pleased there’s no market right now
Edit
The price suggests he ain’t going near this, but no way I can let 50’s Pied Pier go. Betting him with the expectation he’ll appear in the entries elsewhere.
He’s already my idea of a NH Chase horse, so I think he could appear at Cheltenham in a fortnight
Non Runner
October 14, 2025 at 14:38 #1742015Cromwell’s seems fairly obvious to me but 5-1 antepost is rank.
Quite like the angle of weveallbeencaught with local trainer + having some decent back-class. Good front runner and had a pipe-opener.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!October 15, 2025 at 12:22 #1742041You Oughta Know 6-1 ew. Will give him another go having backed him last time when a lesser fancied stablemate won.
October 15, 2025 at 16:44 #1742052I’m fairly interested in In Excelsis Deo here, and he’s my early bet at 25-1 ew
October 16, 2025 at 01:05 #1742067Fancy ASPUROFTHEMOMENT here.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.October 17, 2025 at 18:27 #1742148Most of the original shortlist make it, which didn’t make it very easy.
Particularly worried about the McNamara pair, but in the end, had a change of plan and gone with Will Do, who looks big enough here
If I do add another, it will be Drumgill EW
Edit – Added Drumgill. Almost buckled and went with one of the McNamara pair, particularly the overpriced French Dynamite, but had to stick with this duo
Drumgill 66’s EW5Pls
Will Do 20’s EW5PlsOctober 18, 2025 at 22:37 #1742472You Oughta Know

October 19, 2025 at 11:23 #1742488Not the strongest of races , Mullins truthfully running some near 3rd string horses , I’m with the class act French Dynamite , handicapper has relented and another 5lb of his back , looks cracking e.w value
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
October 19, 2025 at 14:58 #1742508Two for me, You Oughta Know 11-1, and French Dynamite 16-1
October 19, 2025 at 15:35 #1742509Yeats Star and Arctic Fly both ew for me. Not overly big so I hope they can jump out of the ground but the Elliott horse stays and Sam Ewing won on him, on soft, in his beginners. Stamina not assured for the mare but on breeding she hopefully will stay and think she’s probably had her wind sorted
