i’ve banged on about her enough but I think Shimah will win this and 3/1 is a nice price about her.. Hopefully the ground will be good at least and if it is she should have too much toe for again. She will need further or softer ground to beat Shimah.
Not far wrong.. Both very good fillies.. McDonogh obviously decided he was going to follow the favourite which resulted in a lack of racing room mid race.. Shimah may have got closer with a clearer run and better ground (Although it didn’t look that bad and it was probably gd-sft as opposed to soft). Little between them at this stage but you would imagine their career’s will take different paths during their classic year.
The Bolger filly did it well on her debut in the G3 earlier on the card as well.
Bolger filly was intreguing as he’s been banging on about an unraced filly and colt for a while now. Was that the filly? We wont know as he wouldnt name the filly for ‘hype’ reasons but it definitely wasnt Cuis Ghaire!
Positive win for the Bolger yard. ‘Oaks’ just popped into my head as soon as she won but thats just an alarm going off in my head no doubt

Shimah 3.75 to win this and should be more like 2.5. Also 1.51 to place is buying money and I should have a field day here.
Good luck fellas
Pockets filled
September 1, 2008 at 14:23 #178863Explain to me exactly how you fill your pockets backing something that finishes second at 7/2 to win and 1/2 to place and make money?
On second thoughts, don’t bother.
