If he is as good as Willie says and Vautour shines over fences it wouldn’t be a massive surprise to see him enter the Champion Chase reckonings with the unknown regards the well-being of Sprinter and Sire De Grugy.

That is an interesting shout. Have NH owners ever had the embarrassment of riches (no pun intended)?
Does anyone with more knowledge than me know how they find these horses? Are they far more expensive than the vast sums JP dishes out for example?
November 22, 2014 at 12:20 #496058There is not much 3/1 left on Faugheen for the Champion Hurdle this morning. If he wins well today, and The New One fails to sparkle I could see the odds contract to proportions that would give Peruvian Chief restless nights.
Of course the reverse scenario could also arise by the time the football classified results are filtering through.
A huge burden on Faugheen’s back is that he’s in my Ten To Follow and I’ve been the kiss of death, sadly literally, for a few unfortunate horses over the years. Most amazingly, I had a flat horse of Barry Hills’ who I’d put in my list as an Oaks prospect and the poor filly died on the gallops the day after I posted my entry.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
