Rarely a betting race for me this, but I’m hoping to see more progression from Saint Roi. After putting him up at 20’s for The Champion Hurdle, I ended up missing it. I’m still interested at current odds though. Doubt I’d be betting him here, but 3’s seems fair with a run under his belt.
October 30, 2020 at 09:03 #1507741I hope you took that 3/1, he’s as short as 11/8 now.
I think that he’s the winner myself, but I’ve bet another two.
They’re not the likeliest looking winners, but I thought that I’d go with up and comer Beacon Edge at 14/1, and the old stalwart Supasundae at 20/1.
I think that Beacon Edge could improve a lot this season, and Supasundae could start a lot shorter.
October 30, 2020 at 09:41 #1507746I dont get why Saint Roi is 6-4 and Abracadabras is 5-1. Happy to take the 5s ew before his run today.
October 30, 2020 at 11:14 #1507751The price would suggest he is unlikely to run
Though it looks like he’s 5/2 now
October 30, 2020 at 11:29 #1507752Trainer said he would go Morgiana all being well in his stable tour.
October 30, 2020 at 13:57 #1507777Cashed out after that. May have been fitness but thought he would win today.
October 30, 2020 at 14:09 #1507782A canny ride from Paul Townend to hold Aba up and out off a fairly sedate pace till the bird with the flat speed had safely flown. Still don’t think Aba would have won but he would have got closer. Epatante can sleep reasonably soundly tonight.
November 14, 2020 at 23:29 #1510730I know Aba needed his first run and is 2lb better off with Jason the Militant, but Jason gets his ground and has a tongue tie on. He has raced 3 times on ground with heavy in the description: 2nd to Unexcepted on their seasonal debut last year – the Mullins horse did OK FTO on heavy this year too- then a win, then a win in an interesting G2 with some subsequent winners in behind.
Aba also has form on heavy including a G3 win but I think the price differential is a bit much and this may be one of those times when 2 places ew is a decent bet. He isn’t going to win a champion hurdle but tomorrow might be his day. Come on Jason!
November 15, 2020 at 07:38 #1510739Wish i had hung on to the Abra bet. Though was expecting a deeper field.
November 15, 2020 at 11:21 #1510765Mullins only running one may be a tip in itself
Either saldier picked up a small injury or saint roi was doing much better work on the gallops
November 15, 2020 at 11:31 #1510768Disappointing field to be honest. Gone for Jason the Militant at 18/1 given the conditions/
November 15, 2020 at 13:41 #1510791ABA is a huge price , he,s had a run so has the fitness advantage and I reckon Saint Roi will have to have improved to beat him , fingers crossed its a great race
November 15, 2020 at 14:06 #1510796Saint Roi has also had a run so no excuses for him there
November 15, 2020 at 14:11 #1510797He did FF but it was a bit less competive than ABA race
November 15, 2020 at 14:17 #1510798Get in , dug it out like a good horse does
November 15, 2020 at 14:17 #1510799My suspicion about Saint Roi up against Epatante may be correct.
November 15, 2020 at 14:19 #1510800Not Mark Walshs finest moment that
Really shouldve won
Everything that couldve gone wrong went wrong
