Hasn’t been doing any course commentaries this week, I don’t think – so probably given a rest for the big week….

I too don’t know why he keeps getting the big meetings.

I just sent a tweet asking the racecourse who the commentators are next week and their reply is Mike Cattermole, Richard Hoiles, Ian Bartlett and Mark Johnson, no mention of who is doing what though

Probably seven races each, split over two days.

Wish they didn’t use “shouter”, Martin Harris would be a far better choice.

Three of the worst callers on the roster. The lifeless Bartlett, the formulaic shouter that is Johnson and Cattermole with his masters degree in situational unawareness. Way to go Cheltenham

Add in wall to wall bookie reps, Kim Jong-Walsh, Plunkett, that Gob-Shite banker, another millions lines of McCoy fawnery and it will almost certainly be another week to forget on the televisual front.

I’ll watch the replay in the evenings.

Mike Cattermole is a thoroughly nice chap and a very good presenter. He lost his job as a presenter very unfairly.I dont think he is too bad at commentating,he might make the odd mistake,but commentators have been calling the wrong horses home for years,in the heat of the moment,nothing new there. Perhaps people on here prefer Rishi Persad and Clare Balding as presenters,I dont,cannot stand the pair from the BBC. Where is Thommo ? He is a clown but can call a race very well.
