Good luck and look forward to your thoughts
December 18, 2025 at 23:57 #17479442.05 Meydan – Mysterious Night – 2/1 WIN
Hoping to get off to a good start.
Best of luck with Opera Ballo and Nations Pride Nick..

Lovely pic of Shader that Nathan put up for you Darren
He looks quite small or maybe it’s the angle.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 19, 2025 at 04:12 #1747948Good luck at Meydan today Nick and Jac, 2 very good looking horses you’ve
got there. I’m giving them the once over and I think the bookies have got
this wrong as he’s the 3rd pick for Godolphin.Dubai Beach was very badly hampered last time out, and not a lot of time
to sort it out. He was the meat in the sandwich in the last furlong then
bumped, but Oisin Murphy managed to pull him back, switch to the rail and
won going away. His previous (7th) at Thirsk you can write off. He was
blocked in twice in the last 2 furlongs and had nowhere to go. Of his
3 before that, he won 2 and was second giving a stone to the winner.
His thirsk win was by 5 1/2L but it could have been 10L if he wanted.I think Buick and Loughnane were always going to go for Charlie Appleby’s 2,
neither of them have ever sat on Dubai Beach and she gets 5lb off the pair
of them. I can’t see he being out of the top 3 and every chance of a win
I reckon2.05 Meydan – Dubai Beach 14/1
I’m taking a chance that there’s more to come from one of the outsiders,
Lady Garfield, this time. Sh’e only had 1 race in Praha (CZE) where she
finished 2nd. Impossible to know what to make of that 3 horse race but she
had her introduction over 7f at Meydan in a maiden 2 weeks ago at Meydan.
It was her 1st run on dirt and she was ridden by Sabina Mokrosova
It wasn’t a bad runin 8th, the 1st 3 got away from them but 4th to 8th were
within 5L of each other. She was only 1 1/4L behind Ruler of time. She has
got the assistance this time of Tadhg O’Shea who I think rides this course
better than anyone. I’ll take the 50/1 and hope she’s not 100/1 come the morning.2.40 Meydan – Lady Garfield 50/1 Skybet
I’ll see what’s what in the morning. Good night to all
December 19, 2025 at 15:51 #1747974well done Jac with Mysterious Night
no damage done here with marbaan falling into the frameDecember 19, 2025 at 16:11 #1747976Thanks Nick it was a close finish
off to a good start and have done a double with …4.25 – Opera Ballo
5.35 – By The BookIt won’t win much as both 4/7 but I think they are nailed on .

The trainer is keen to win this race..he has 3 runners.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 19, 2025 at 18:23 #1747989Well 1,2,3 for Michael de Costa the trainer but not in the expected order. What a race that was. I enjoyed it even though my horse was 3rd.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 20, 2025 at 00:19 #1748069Keep a lookout for Lady Garfield running again. She made a lot of
ground through the field to finish 5th from a poor draw in 11. Just
her 2nd race outside of the Czech Republic and on dirt. I didn’t
think Tadhg O’Shea would ride a no hoper from the CZ. She goes in
my notebook but I doubt I’ll get 50/1 on her again.December 20, 2025 at 15:57 #1748173Hello Everyone!
Thought I’d check in and see how everyone is doing!
The candle craziness has died down a lot, which is nice. I actually got to watch a little racing today, which was nice – although it would have been better if my comp selections had won.
Hopefully I can pick up some TTF points over the next week or two, as I’ve fallen well back in the pack. It’s hard to believe that Christmas is just a few days away. We are going to celebrate on the 26th this year, as the kids will be spending Christmas day with their in-laws. It will be very different, as it’s the first time in over 30 years that we won’t see our kids “on the day”!
The Trump craziness continues – it’s only been a year – what on earth will happen over the next three years. (Don’t get me started
)Take Care Everyone
