Well done on your 1st day in the Derby competition Jac, that was a great nap
with Snowfall. A few horses ran off with the ground (maybe) but nothing would
have caught Snowfall whatever the conditions. Amazing performance by horse
and 50 year old Frankie Dettori. Piggot aside he’s got to be the best,
perhaps THE best. I had a disaster today, but to be honest
    there’s at least 4 or 5 that I wouldn’t have considered changing, I thought
I had a real shout but absolutely nothing went to plan. Anyway, no point
feeling sorry for myself, I’ll just need to have a massive day tomorrow to
    make up for it.

Nathan that’s a great result in the Ante Post thread, 50/1 ya beauty :yahoo:
I hope you had a few quid on :good:

Best of luck everyone on Derby day :good:

It was my best day for while Graham thank you. :rose: It’s amazing how one day can change it all around so who knows what today will bring..lots of winners for all of us.
Always fear AOB but Frankie has that look in his eye and I’ve not seen him look fitter for a long time..hoping for a Leeper of faith today

Thanks everyone, yes delighted with Snowfall.
I was toying with putting her in the tote 10 to follow but her runs last season were not overly encouraging so I left her out, d’oh.. :rose:
I had £2.00 on the Wealth Warning thread of last season BigG and also had a nice surprise when logging on to skybet this morning as I had forgot I had also done her in a £1.00 mug double with Shishkin for the Arkle. :yahoo:
But I think putting her in the Ante Post comp trumps my small bets. Strange as it sounds I do get a buzz in doing well in the comps.
Good luck today everyone. Think Daz has a great ticket on Bolshoi Ballet, plenty of decent rivals but the acceleration he showed last time was very impressive. If he can repeat that on this going he’ll go very close.

Great job with Snowfall Graham! You’re not alone, I get a buzz doing well in the comps too :good: That “mug double” certainly paid off too. Well done!

A great day for you too Jac. Love to see some bookie bashing and a great start in the Epsom comp! Hopefully you can match that today and bring the comp home to us! I’m back in the pack again, and my first pick of the day is still running.

Good Luck to everyone in the comps and with your bets. I have a busy day, so I may not even get to see a lot of the races.

Good luck Andre, just to put you right it was Nathan that has Snowfall in his double and
50/1 in the ante post thread. I had Zeyaadah at 33/1 in the ante post but he didn’t like
the ground and didn’t stay the trip. My Derby comp entries were a DISASTER !!!
yesterday, I’m hoping I get something right today

I’m not surprised Andre said Graham with all the big price winners he selects on a regular basis.
A great shout with Mojo Star BigG just found one too good.

Thanks for the shout out about Air to Air the other week. What a lovely looking horse.🐎 Takes after his sire
Jamie Spencer bided his time, riding confidently at the moment

Thanks Nathan, I’m really happy with Mojo Star’s run. I thought his 2 runs were
really promising so I’m well up with 150/1 place with Bet365 3 places and 80/1
5 places Skybet. After a pretty shocking couple of days that saw me back on the
    straight n narrow :good:

Sorry about that guys, I was probably half-asleep when I typed that  – well done Nathan with Snowfall & your mug double! :good:

Great pick with Mojo Star Graham! Love the bookie bashing!

Thrilled for Adam Kirby after he got “jocked” by Frankie! My picks are struggling as most of them have been lately.

Unless Symphony Perfect starts 2/1 or under in the 7.00 at Chepstow I’m going to need 2nd or better to get through to the semi final of the daylight cup. Currently 4/1

If I’ve done my maths correct that is
I’ve 2/1 or under 1st place would see me through

At current odds 3rd would get me a draw but I think I’d be out on count back.

I think so. Will be the first time I’ve made the semi final if I’ve done my maths right. :good:
I’ll mark up the scores tomorrow for bobs comp as am about to mark up the Derby comp soon.
Well done by the way in winning the fantasy football league. I was catching up a bit late on but you were too far ahead for me to make it interesting in the end

What a day it has been..just catching up with the Thread and you haven’t been sitting on your laurels Graham Mojo Star did you proud and put you straight with the bookies today where did that one come from? Genius :yahoo:

Racing is a great leveller and nothing could be better than the way Adam Kirby must have felt when Adayar powered away from the rest of the Derby field today. Even though I was routing for John Leeper nobody could deny him that moment and what a wonderful reception he got back at the weighing room.
I think this has been the best Oaks/Derby result I have seen in a long time and wondering whether the Coolmore Empire is beginning to witness the end of their stronghold on the Classics as Galileo becomes an aged stallion his progeny could have weaknesses.

Sorry about Bolshoi Ballet Darren but you’ll be back with the big price winners again he just didn’t handle Epsom
    .
Hope you had a little on Air To Air at Doncaster today Nathan..I couldn’t believe I got 4/1 on him this morning with Paddy Power and he went off 6/4 so my Nap got a bit diluted but he won. :yahoo: He is a real (Toronado) beauty and lots more to come. Jamie Spencer is on a roll at the moment but it was still a heart stopping run from last with 3 furlongs to run as he sliced his way through the middle of the pack to win going away.. What a cool ride. B-)
Air To Air was my first paddock pick on my first day back at racing on 22nd May so really happy he is running so well. Down to run on Thursday at Yarmouth but that probably won’t happen I’d like to see him at Royal Ascot.

Keep going Andre, you’re never far off in the comps and flat racing is just getting going. Personally I have never had such a terrible run with my 10 to follow .. had a feeling Al Aasy would get beaten and my others are trailing their hooves. The horses that lured us in at the beginning of the season are not firing with the exception of Palace Pier most of mine have been sitting I their stables.

Not long now until Royal Ascot so good luck to us all in the comps to come and big thank you to Nathan for all his hard work this week..Jac

Looks like you’re semi final bound Nathan, great to see one of the team
is still in there pitching :good:

Thanks for that Jac, I certainly didn’t look a “genius” yesterday
I’m just relieved not to still be bottom of the Derby Compy. I thought I’d
copied my type up about about Mojo Star from the Derby thread on Friday to
here, apologies for that. I also backed Midnights Legacy at 12/1, unfortunately
he was only down as one of my reserves, but I did well enough out the pair
of them that I stuck a very decent bet on Essential Quality at 5/4 in the
Belmont Stakes over in the US. I wouldn’t normally look at a 5/4 shot but
I couldn’t see him getting beat and I had plenty of ammo.

It’s a funny sport, down in the doldrums one day and sailing high the next.
I suppose the motto is enjoy it whilst you can :good:

    4.50 Chantilly
Air De Valse 8/1 EW

    Rev.Forecast Air De Valse/Ideal Beauty
