A rough day for my selections in all competitions. Oh well – there’s always next weekend! Godolphin points posted in that thread Jac.
Haqeeqy was a lovely price, well done Jac and whoever else picked him.

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone! Stay Safe
PS – I’d much rather be on holiday in Arizona!
March 27, 2021 at 19:21 #1533032Just curious – do we usually have a TTF for the Flat Season on the forum? I know we didn’t last year, but thought that was because of COVID.
March 28, 2021 at 00:23 #1533067The Flat TTF was arranged by Gingertipster a few years back Andre, I think you did quite well in that one. I don’t remember it last year and think it would be quite a big ask to arrange if Bobby’s NH TTF is anything to go by, unless of course you have a spare minute..

HIGHEST SUN 7/2
ROYAL VACATION 17/2also put 3 bets in flat thread 1 at Doncaster and 2 in Ireland
March 28, 2021 at 13:59 #1533121Oh no, that wasn’t me Jac. I’ve never seen or entered a TRF TTF for flat racing. I’ve only been around for about 18 months or so (I know it seems like a lot longer
) A flat TTF would certainly be another fun contest.I’m sure it’s a lot of work to run a contest like that. The setup, the tracking of all the horses, etc. I have a spare minute, but this one would need a few spare hours at least
March 28, 2021 at 14:05 #1533124Yeah Ginger did the flat 10 to follow
Doing a group 1 competition might be a way to go including Irish/French but I’ve got far too much on at the moment and plenty of comps to do as it is.
Fingers crossed I haven’t got to shield again and really need to put more hours into work. Amazingly other than a few that have moved house I haven’t lost any of my customers desipte only being able to get to them no more than 3 times in the year and with plenty of competitors about I think it shows they must be happy with me.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
March 28, 2021 at 14:59 #1533132Hello
With reference to the Ten to Follow Flat Competition.
Gingertipster did run a competition in 2019, but last year 2020 was ruined
and did not take place. Mainly because of the problems with the Flat Season
not starting on time and Gingertipster’s own circumstances.I have asked Gingertipster about this year and at the moment he does feel it is
unlikely he will have the time to spare. He also thinks that the Tote Ten To Follow is likely to take away interest in
his competition. There will be a Tote one, but details are not available at the moment.
I think it is fair to say that more people enter the Jumping competition than the Flat one. Many Thanks and all the best
March 28, 2021 at 16:26 #1533148Thanks for that update John and yes I’m not surprised that Gingerertipster didn’t want to take on another TRF Ten To Follow for the flat, I think he is very busy moving house at the moment.
However, if the Tote do one this year I will be there in a heartbeat and hopefully Nathan or even BigG will start a League for us.
I know how much you enjoy these competitions John so lets hope they get a Tote flat competition up and running before the Guineas Meeting.

Unfortunately I can’t enter the Tote competition because, as most of you know, I don’t live in the UK. I really enjoy these contests, so I guess I’ll just have to follow your exploits in the tote contest.
March 28, 2021 at 16:46 #1533156Just two from my notebook today both greys..
4.50 Doncaster
GUNMETAL .. 15/2 .. EWGEORGE BOWEN
.. 25/1 EWRev Forecast
Gunmetal hasn’t won for the last 2 years but showing signs of a return to form.
George Bowen has dropped to a very handy mark and around 25/1 with 5 places on offer he has to be backed.

Go GUNMETAL
I haven’t seen him for a few years now and he’s completely changed from the iron grey sprinter I remember..what a beautiful grey he’s become.

March 28, 2021 at 23:51 #1533194No Clints keep the faith in Soft Whisper perhaps back in a fillies and mares race next time. I thought she was up against it yesterday.
Hope you get back to the Dubai World Cup again next year.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 28, 2021 at 23:57 #1533195Andre it’s a shame that you are unable to play the Tote Ten To Follow. Is there no way in by the back door say a friend or family member in the UK who could sign up on the Tote’s website and put in your free stable selection.
Probably not that easy but just a thought.

I wished I had clocked him earlier,
I’d have had a go myself. I always fancied him as an Ayr Gold Cup type after
he did me out of a few quid a few years back when he beat my lovely Dakota
Gold (33/1) in the Great St Wilfrid. They were split across the track and
both won their side, but Gunmetal deserved the win. He did have a couple of
cracks at the Ayr Gold Cup after that, but it didn’t pan out for him on
either occasion. He’s only 8 so still not too old for a sprinter and he’s
on a great mark compared with a couple of years back, 104 to 79 in 2 years.
I reckon he’s worth a punt in one of the big handicaps even though he’ll
go up a few pounds. I’ve stuck him on my tracker so if I get an early shout
that he’s going for a decent handicap I’ll be sure to stick him up here
March 29, 2021 at 09:22 #1533207To be honest Graham I only put Gunmetal up about 5 minutes before he ran, he was an old notebook horse and ATR sent me an email to say he was running..and yes I remember your Dakota Gold race now in the Great St. Wilfred.
shame it wasn’t a dead heat.I was knocked out by the way he looked and how he ran so let’s keep him on our side and yes please flag him up on here if you spot him in a decent handicap.

George Bowen is another due for a big win soon, he’s getting to a very handy mark..
Best of luck Graham.

Oh well, not to worry.Nathan – you have your hands full running several comps at once. Hopefully you’ll be able to get back up your ladder soon.
Graham – I had to go back and watch the two runnings of the Gt St Wilfrid, with Dakota Gold and Gunmetal (2018 & 2019).
Stay Safe Everyone
