It’s so hard to look beyond the Godolphin horses when you are doing the Fantasy League competition and there are so many good horses running for other owner and trainers…good luck sorting them out. Plenty of 10/1 around at the moment but I’ll check again early morning to
see if anyone has stuck their neck out further. He’s been running in decent
handicaps at home and shown some good form. He’s run twice since he came
out here, the 1st in January where he was a running on 3L runner up to the
favourite here, Golden Goal. DD was giving GG 5lbs on that occasion and
there’s now a 10lb swing in favour of DD. He got a bit behind last time out
but finished strongly in 4th. I think he has every chance.3.05 A’Ali
He’s 5/2 at present, I’ll take that if no better early. I’ve looked for
longer shots in this one, but I can’t get away from the fact that nothing
in here matches such as his comfortable win in the Coral Charge and his
subsequent win in the Saphire Stakes at the Curragh. If he brings that kind
of form here, I don’t think he can get beat4.50 Escobar 11/1 Paddy Power
He’s a pretty decent handicapper who’s maybe suffered a bit from being raised
to 111 after his Balmoral Handicap win at Ascot 16 months ago. He’s been
running in Group 1 & 2 and listed races without threatening to win but
running some decent races. He ran here 3 weeks ago after a break, he was
slow away and although 10th, he was finishing well and was only just over
2L behind Bedouin’s Story, giving that one 5lbs. I think that down to a
mark of 105 he’s worth a shot.I’ll leave it at that for the moment and see how I get on. Good luck Clints
