December 31, 2016 at 14:29 #1279510I’d like to wish all TRF’ers a very Happy New Year for 2017, I hope it brings you health, happiness and a hatful of winners.
I’d also like to thank everyone who has supported TRF over the last year. I thought the forum had a good year overall and although one or two regulars left us we’ve attracted lots of new members over the year and great to see new names posting. There are too many regular contributors to mention, all of whose contributions help continue to make TRF such an informative and entertaining forum. I enjoy it as much as ever.
I would also like to send special thanks to Matron, Bob Rolf, Venture To Cognac and Nathan, all of whom put in hours and hours of work to help keep things running smoothly and whose work on competitions adds a real element of interest through the year for lots of us.
It is my tenth year running TRF and I am glad that it still manages to bring pleasure to people. Long may it continue to do so.
Thanks all and HAPPY HOGMANAY from Scotland!
December 31, 2016 at 14:47 #1279515and a big ‘thank you’ to you, David for making it all possible.

December 31, 2016 at 19:15 #1279558Happy New Year to everyone! Lots of health, lots of spare time to do the things you love with the right people surrounding you!
I have switched camps in the meantime – no, I’m not gay now – but I wouldn’t mind to have Thistlecrack winning the Gold Cup (ideally in front of Native River with Cue Card winning the Ryanair).
All the best to you!December 31, 2016 at 19:27 #1279560I’d like to wish all TRF’ers a very Happy New Year for 2017, I hope it brings you health, happiness and a hatful of winners.

I can’t believe that I stumbled across this Forum purely by chance about 6 years ago and haven’t looked back since, it really is the best and most informative Forum on the Internet.
Thank you also for making TRF such a welcoming place for us all to come and discuss horses, put up our fancies and play competitions. TRF is SIMPLY THE BEST

Thanks to yourself David for keeping the show on the road, I think it was Final Furlong forum that went t!ts up this year so with that thanks to everybody for posting on here.
I’d also like to express my thanks to Triptych for her help with some of the comps and of course her own weekly competition through tough times this past couple of years, hope 2017 is kind to you Jac.
And Pat123 for keeping the Ante Post compy going and his new handicap comp which was something different but provided my brain with a challenge of different races.Charles Darwin to conquer the World
January 1, 2017 at 12:07 #1279636I also stumbled across the forum one day after I’d been diagnosed with a chronically stiff neck…I too haven’t looked back since (Boom! Boom!)
Happy New Year, David and to all my friends here. I wish you all a peaceful new year. To quote the late John McGahern, “sometimes true happiness lies in lives lived quietly day by day where nothing much happens…”

Amen to that. Its only when stuff happens that you realize just how blessed the “normal” days really are. We should try not to take them for granted.
Happy New Year to all at TRF.
