McCririck on Coach Trip

I found it fascinating but, at the same time, very sad to see John McCririck reduced to appearing on Celebrity Coach Trip on Channel 4.
Sad because his appearances on Channel 4 Racing have become so rare that he has obviously been forced to agree to appear on this type of reality show to make some money. He and The Booby were easily the most watchable contestants on the programme and, as you would expect, gave very good value for money.
Entirely as expected, Big Mac and The Booby succeeded in turning everyone against them, as he did on Celebrity Big Brother.
While in Corsica, McCririck moaned about there being no eggs in the restaurant they stopped at and, after the inevitable mention of The Ivy, asked how "riff raff like Brendan" (the tour guide) could be allowed in the Ivy.
It’s very sad that McCririck has been virtually expunged from the Morning Line and Channel 4 Racing. The so-called debate conducted by Tanya Stevenson from the Cheltenham betting ring about the whip on Saturday was lamentable, lacking any of the authority which McCririck would have brought. Tanya really is hopelessly out of her depth, although apparently very popular with many people.
Predictably, McCririck told someone to "behave yourself" (when the person sneezed and spread his germs around the coach) and I won’t go into his nose-picking habits, carried over from Celebrity Big Brother.
Big Mac and The Booby got voted off on today’s programme. Entirely predictable but, sadly, very unfortunate that they again showed their inability to get on with people.
The only sadder thing was that another ex-Celebrity Big Brother contestant, Michael Barrymore, has also been reduced to doing this show.
