May 12, 2007 at 11:56 #56264…yes I agree with Barry too, if you look at some of the other topics.

May 13, 2007 at 08:34 #56269The guy’s a muppett, he regularly tells us his opinion is worth absolutely nothing and then proceeds to tell us the same thing time and time again.
Yesterday he told us there was an objection at Ascot but no stewards enquiry
ATR are covering 6 meetings today including 4 jumps, do we really need that clown interjecting with mindless drivel throughout the afternoon as well?
May 13, 2007 at 09:16 #56270How many starts will they miss by coming back from an addy break too late?

Me neither Colin ~ in fact I’ve heard the exact opposite! A mate of mine has a good friend who went out with him so I’ve heard quite a bit….
May 13, 2007 at 19:12 #56272He’s not that well groomed either! You obviously didn’t see the day when he actually showed us what he was wearing apart from the smart shirt and jacket ABOVE the desk. He’d got on torn jeans and brown sandals.
I’m the wrong side of 40 too but I wouldn’t give him house room…
May 13, 2007 at 20:14 #56273I asked Matt about purile chat room criticism,
he said " I love it, keep it coming shows how sad they are"
torn jeans and brown sandals!, no respect for his elders.
May 13, 2007 at 20:17 #56274Like Matt Chapman can call someone sad.
Next time you see him tell him to do all racing enthusiasts a favour and retire, he wrecks the coverage.
May 13, 2007 at 20:29 #56275I wouldn’t have thought barry dennis would be able to pass much of an opinion about Matt Chapman and his broadcasting skills seeing he’s usually at the track when Chapman is performing.
What Chapman fails to grasp is that the viewers should be the most important not himself.
How lucky is Chappers I say, having one of Britains most well known bookies as his spokesperson
May 13, 2007 at 20:32 #56276poor old Matt not too popular on here, except with me
:blowkiss: ÂÂÂ
May 13, 2007 at 20:37 #56277I like Matt Chapman too, and Derek Thompson, and If that puts me top of the list of saddo’s I couldn’t give a ferk.
I’ve got far more important things to worry about than who’s presenting the horse racing.
When we had a thread about race commentators, the few we have posting on here were very keen to learn what we thought of them so they could improve if improvement was needed.
OK maybe we’ve gone a bit further than ‘constructive criticism’ but any TV personality who doesn’t care what his viewers think of him presumably doesn’t take the job seriously.
…………………but he would say that, wouldn’t he, Barry?!
