If it’s Raymo’s house for us Darren, I’ll be looking forward to having a nice
big cream cake. Apparently Mr & Mrs R have an unlimited supply of them :good:

    Cameron Smith -2
    Tony Finau -1
    Marc Leishman Par
    Shugo Imahira +4

Not a completely hapless start, Imahira aside, from my 4 hopefuls. Obviously not hitting the heights of Koepka and DeChambeau but plenty early enough yet.

Decent chance there Krypton, I reckon anyone who is under par after round 2
will still be in with a good shout. I don’t see anyone taking this course
apart. I wouldn’t be surprised if the winning score was not any bigger than
the -6 that DeChambeau and Koepka set on day 1.

Well then lads. What do we think so far? I’ve enjoyed it. Lots of good golf. A very tight leaderboard. Betting wise though.. Not a bad couple of days. Could be better, could be worse. Still got a few bang there.

My biggest bet (as seen on my first post on this thread) Dustin Johnson is still my main hope. He’s one of the lead and well in there.

Fowler is still in there fighting and I actually think he’s a very good price in play for five places at 40/1. He’s pretty good when chasing on the weekend. Same with Kuchar who is my admirable chum I back every major each way.

Then three are my best shots. Small bet Rahm is enough to come out of this year with no loss but I’m hopeful one of the other three proves superior. Some scenes if DJ was to win that’s for sure.

Bloody McIlroy. Second biggest bet (thought he was a very good bet to nothing for top 10 at 7/1) and he’s playing poorly. Fancied Fowler more than him but had a fraction more on the Irishmen. Annoying that.

I see there’s plenty of you in there going strong still at the halfway mark. Good to see TRF doing well on the golf as usual.

Good luck for the weekend lads. I’ll miss the afternoons play as I’m at Portman Roas. This time to see our relegation confirmed against birmingham.

Edit – I suppose Fleetwood could still place which would be worthwhile if he could squeak into the top 10 with one of his customary low rounds. Done him to be top Englishmen in play too at 7/4. Unfortunately, Poultier matched him yesterday so it’s still all to play for.

It is certainly all still to play for MOM!!

Looks like we have the leaderboard well within our sights.

I can’t see anybody running away with it and Sunday afternoon is going to be very interesting :good:

Think me and BigG would be going mad at De Chambeau yesterday i hope that he one bad round of week

Xander Schauffele has a really good round last night started the day 10ver and 6under one off lead so happy with him

You’re not far wrong Darren, I was pulling my hair out with DeChambeau yesterday. It was a case
of 1 step forward, 2 steps back. I suppose the good thing is that he’s still close enough if he
has a couple of good day, and he’s well capable of that.

As Raymo has said, I don’t think anyone will run away with this one, it’s going to go down to
    the wire I think.

MOM, you must be sitting pretty with DJ. Only 1 back and probably rightfully the favourite. I’m
still hopeful I can add to my 1st round win with DeChambeau, I said in my original write-up,
about Molinari “I can’t think of many negatives here, I think he wins this“. He’s still
well there as joint leader. I’ve got Rahm, only 2 back, and then DeChambeu 3 back. I still
hope DeChambeau gets there, it would give Darren and myself some lift.

Of my other 3, Cabrera Bello and Simpson, both 100/1 shots are perhaps too far back at 1 under
to get in with a chance to win this, although stranger things have happened, but I’d be happy
if they could keep within range of the e/w money. My last pick, Cameron Smith is back at level.
He’s been a disappointment so far and he’d need a round like the one he had in the final round
last year (66) to have any chance.

Plenty of us in with very realistic chances, very best of luck over the weekend guys :good:

Raymo, Darren and I won’t be needing to use your darkened room for DeChambeau, he’s completely
lost the plot and has started double bogey double bogey
Not that he had any chance going into the final round anyway, but it’s sad to see someone with
his talent, leading after the 1st day, completely falling apart. I was pleased, and mightily
surprised, to see Webb Simpson come into the equation with a staggering 64 yesterday. I don’t
see him as the winner here, but never say never. I’d just be happy to see him keep within the
top 5. I’d backed him ante post at 100/1 back in November, but that means they were only offering
5 places so it’s a bit touch and go. I’m hoping Molinari can hold them off today, it’s going to
be hard and I could have done without the whole Tiger Woods bandwagon following him around.
Thankfully he’s a calm man by nature and although he must feel the pressure I think he can still
    get the job done.

Still plenty of us in the hunt for the outright win, and with up to 10 places on offer, there’s
loads of chances there too. Best of luck guys :good:

Tiger Woods. Champion. Fair bloody play to him.

Three of mine placed including my top two fancies Dustin Johnson and Ricky Fowler. Had two more finish T12 which was close.

Well done anyone with the winners/placers

    No results.

Seems he took us all by surprise, has he ever done anything before?

Scraped a place with both of mine for a small profit.
