The 1st major of the year and in terms of my bets the 1st 3 you see ante post bets and last 3 i added i have

    BRYSON DE CHAMBEAU 100/1

On twitter last year after US open i said if after a 2019 ante post bet then this guy for Masters the following year he win one event that season.I was wrong in the end won a further 3events in 2018.2 Fed ex cup events and Shriners hospital. This year not been at his best but he did win the Dubai Desert classic and over the last 5years 2 winners of that event Willett and Garcia both done the Dubai and masters double so every chance can follow up.

    JUSTIN ROSE 20/1

Last year there were quite a few people felt he have a bad year in 2019 because he change his clubs but on 2nd start this year he won the Farmers insurance open. And when you look at other names above him in market feel Rory put himself under pressure to win here DJ has always made a mistake here to cost him while Rose 2nd to Speith lost a playoff to Garcia out of big names he go very close here

    HIDEKI MATSUYAMA 35/1

When he was romping home in WGC HSBC Championship and Hero challenge it look likely few years ago that win a major but still not happen get the feeling he feels pressure from Asia to get over the line here.5th and 7th here been best efforts by him and if the putter works for him can make the frame

    XANDER SCHAUFFELE 40/1

After win at Tournament of champions where he played amazing final round of 11under to win by 1.Since then been steady recent loss at group stage at matchplay can be forgiven and it true 50th here last year he was in bad form and this guy shown lots of class and bottle in big stages 2nd in the open last year won Tour Championship on debut and won a WGC in Asia when the big events come up he rises to it can do so again

    HENRIK STENSON 70/1

Always had him a player who not act round here but then last year he was 5th could it be now he figure out what to do at Augusta maybe he has. This year not been great by him but then in a tough group he was able to win it then a loss to Bjegaard but shown top form that week and he a danger now form is back.

    THORBJORN OLESEN 200/1

Thunderbear as he known has not done well this year but best showing this season was in Dubai desert classic when 7th it could be that he show best form in the bigger events and it should not be forgotten that he was 6th on masters debut so he likes it here off the big prices he is one can go really well at a price

So guys here it is not long to go now what your bets and i have bets on top debutant and few other markets this week.

Know absolutely zilch about golf (and many other things, mind), but tend to play 2 or 3 in the majors (is that what they are called?) every year. All of these selections are £1 win-only.

Marc Leishman @ 55/1 William Hill

    Cameron Smith @ 80/1 Bet365

    Shugo Imahira @ 500/1 Bet365

    Tony Finau @ 40/1 Bet365

Only bet the majors but have a pretty good record. Put Reed up on this thread last year at a nice price which was some thrill! Always backed him and Kuchar maintaining they will both win a major. Down to just Kuchar on that front now.

With Skybet, Paddy Power, Coral and Betfair paying 10 places on each way bets, I’m very much involved. Some of these are somewhat cover bets as they pay a small profit if getting in the top 10 (as they should) but a fair chunk if they win.

All bets are each way – 10 places.

I’ve backed (in order of stake size):
    Dustin Johnson – 10/1
    Rory Mcilroy – 13/2
    Rickie Fowler – 16/1
    Tommy Fleetwood – 22/1
    Justin Rose – 12/1
Matt Kuchar (small bet) – 40/1
John Rahm (small bet) – 18/1
Justin Thomas (small bet) – 16/1
Brant Snedekar (small bet) – 80/1

Also played three on the exchange (win only for small bets):
    Bryson Dechambeau – 48.0
    Hideki Matsuyama – 36.0
    Charl Schwartzel – 430.0

I’m confident that with that portfolio, I can get the winner and a placer or two to yield a decent profit.

    Good luck all.

    AARON WISE 9/1 Top debutnant

For me off all rookies make there debut here he the one can see in future get a green jacket he blessed with the power to tame Augusta one day thinking he win it on debut ask a bit to much on debut feel can claim top debutant honors

Bryson De Chambeau Justin Rose Dual FC 200/1

There are my main 2 bets here so at this price makes sense to go for the FC here

After much consideration I have come up with loads of bets and hopefully I can get some of them right!!

    EACH WAY TEN PLACES

    C HOFFMAN 100/1
    J ROSE 11/1
    B KOEPKA 25/1
    T FLEETWOOD 22/1
    M KUCHAR 45/1
    HAO TONG LI 125/1
    SI WOO KIM 90/1
    JB HOLMES 150/1

It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if Kim or Li won as I think we are nearing the Asian major breakthrough and hopefully one of these two can be the one to do it!!
Rosey is always there or thereabouts in Majors and even though he aint a great price I couldn’t leave him out.
Cupcake has been brill in Majors for a while and even though I subscribe to the theory that recently most major winners have been first time winners I could not ignore him.
Mitchel was one of my ones to follow rookies and with his length may go well here or completely blow out!!
Tommy isn’t far away from winning a major IMO and should go well.
Kuch has queered his pitch with the public and me with his behaviour recently but that wont stop him going well!
I thought JB was too big a price and the same applies to Hoffman

    Top Debutant K MITCHELL 15/2
    Top European T FLEETWOOD 12/1
    Top Yank B KOEPKA 12/1
    C HOFFMAN 66/1
    K MITCHELL 130/1
Top ROW SI WOO KIM 14/1
    HAO TONG LI 22/1
On the exchanges I have backed a few and most of these are hopefully to lay after a good first round LOL
    C Hoffman 130
    B Koepka 32
    T Fleetwood 34
    M Kuchar 60
    Haotong Li 240
    K Mitchell 330
    Si Woo Kim 180
    JB Holmes 240

And finally I have backed two players to be first round leader each way 8 places
    SI WOO KIM 66/1
    JB HOLMES 66/1

Let us hope we have such a good tournament as last year when I think between us we had nine out of the top ten or something close.

    Good Luck Guys :good: :good:

    Ante post bets already struck

Bryson DeChambeau 90/1 (33/1 1st round leader market)

He didn’t have much of a say in any of the Majors last year, but he’s shown his
ability and totted up 4 wins. He’s been good to me betting wise, and although he’s
not been in sparkling form of late, he knows that he’s capable of landing a Major
now. Believing is more than half the battle, I think it was Bobby Jones who said
that competitive golf is played mainly on a 5 1/2″ course…..the space between
your ears. He has a good shout

Cameron Smith 100/1 (60/1 1st round leader market)

Very talented on his day, and hopefully he will remember that superb 66 on the
last round of the Masters last year for a T5 finish. He’s had a good number of
top 10s last year and a couple this year. He can lose the plot occasionally, but
he’s a birdie machine when on song. Worth a pop at big odds.

Webb Simpson 100/1 (66/1 1st round leader market)

To be honest, he was in better form when I backed him last November, but not much I
can do about that now. If there’s a glimmer of hope it’s that he looked to be more
back to himself last month when he was T16 in the Players. He played well here last
year, T20, so maybe he might put in a good show. I’m more hopeful than confident about
him now, but stranger things have happened.

    Added this week

John Rahm 18/1 (25/1 1st round leader market)

Terrific young player and definitely has the game to win this. Finished 4th last year
and recent form, T12 in the Players and T6 in the Valspar last month and a string of
top 10s this year give him a genuine chance of winning here.

Francesco Molinari 22/1 (33/1 1st round leader market)

A very decent player who has hugely improved his game over the past couple of years.
A Major winner already at the Open last year, and had a reasonable tournament here
last year finishing T20. Very much in form recently, I thought he was going to win
me a good pot last time out, he was playing A+ golf at the WGC Match play until the
semi final round where his driver did the damage. Finished 3rd with another good round
and at least he was in the e/w money. Winner of the Arnold Palmer last month, I can’t
think of many negatives here, I think he wins this.

Rafa Cabrera Bello 100/1 (70/1 1st round leader market)

Bit of a long shot, but he at least knows his way around here. He made the cut last year
but not a lot more finishing T34. Looked to be coming back to some decent form in the
Arnold Palmer last month, in particular with a superb 1st round 65. A repeat of that
here would be very welcome in the 1st round, and he’s capable of it. Whether he’s up
to winning this I’m not so sure, but 100/1 10 places with PP I thought was worth a
    shot.

That’s my lot for this year, I think this is my favourite tournament and win lose or
draw I’ll love it….although I’d love it even more if one of the above does me a favour.
Very best of luck chaps :good:

I’ve heard so many people that fancy Matsuyama!

I literally haven’t a clue about the golf, might throw a couple for some interest but small stakes.

Jason Day will be on my list.

Done Fowler and Rahm e/w, both 16s with 10 places so a place gets me my overall money back, anything else is a bonus! Good luck all.

I can’t believe that ball didn’t go in for Dechambeau on the 18th. I actually
had arms raise aloft, it was DEFINITELY going in….and then it didn’t. Koepka
has played his drive on the 18th, it’s a good one. If he bogies, Dechanbeau is
1st round leader at 33/1. If he pars it, we share 1st place and half the odds. I
could live with that, but I’ve got this horrible feeling he might just knock it
to bloody 3 feet  I’m hanging on to my hat

Phew, that was close by Koepka on the last, so I’ll have to share the 1st round spoils
with him. Happy enough with that, although I still feel DeChambeau was robbed with that
all but eagle on the 18th. That’s golf for you, and I’m pleased for Raymo and Botchy who
have Koepka, he looks at the top of his game.

Well we’re still right there Darren with our ante post on Dechambeau. 100/1 and 90/1 are
looking pretty good at this time, and I’ve just clocked that MOM has joined the gang at
42/1. Still a long way to go, and there’s a posse of top notchers hard on our heals.
Many of us in with good shouts, good luck guys :good:

I know it is something and nothing but Langer one under 1/8 and Lyle one over 14/1 to be top senior!! Prices are wrong to me and had to have a couple of quid on Sandy!! He will probably go and shoot eighty now!!

Couple at 8/1 and Vijay at 9/1 both six over and eight over!!

I am baffled by those prices
