March 11, 2007 at 10:41 #62704Formath,
Going very well at the moment. An excellent profit at a notoriously tricky time of year.
I’m not a big fan of staking systems, but this one is fairly tight and also one that makes the game more interesting. I like it.
Let’s hope the Racing Post keep the supply of winners coming.
By the way, thanks for keeping the thread going.
Cheers,
Alan

This thread is now closed (I am getting bored with it lol).
It was opened to see if it might be possible to win £50 a day with a £1000 bank.
I started with 120 pts, about £8 a point, and over 21 days made 75 points. That’s £600 divided by 21 = £28 approx. So over this short sample I didn’t make it – never thought I would.

March 17, 2007 at 08:19 #62712Formath,
It’s been an interesting thread and it illustrates the unpredictabilty of staking plans, even though it was quite a tight method.
On level stakes, the selection method made a decent profit (about 20%) over the period. Over a long period, these three sources(Postdata, RPR and Spotlight) are all losers, so I wouldn’t expect combining them to improve that.
The staking system increased the level stakes profit, but also risked that profit by using progressive staking.
However, it would have been quite exciting playing it for modest stakes. If it had been £5,000 a point, the brown trousers might have been needed.
Good stuff, Formath. Look forward to more contributions.
