Well done winners. It took Elliott only 28 races to get a winner.

She’s rapid over her obstacles. I backed her a while back antepost and couldn’t believe she was drifting so much earlier today.

What happened to the fav who Ruby said could have 20lb in hand??.

Still been a horrible week for Elliott and as for Jack Kennedy … , Elliott may have loads of horses but this week proves he still has a lot to learn from Mullins about placing them

Ruby didn’t count on me backing him I guess. Finished out with the washing like all my other bets today. Sorry folks.

Took me until the last race to highlight a winner…, and even then didn’t have it in the Cheltenham Comp!
A nice bit of placement by Gordon Elliott. The form beating Joyeuse has proved very strong and he’s protected the handicap mark to have a go at this race. Irish handicappers are generally no better handicapped than the GB runenrs, but many Irish are campaigned and placed better.

It’s the first thing Elliott has done right all week , HDB somehow pulled it out of the fire this week after a poor season ( prob a good time to start following the yard ) Elliott has had a mare , all that ammo and one win , that’s not going to keep big owners happy , they’ll be eyes gazing at Joseph and esp Cromwell after the last 4 days …. Elliott has work to do

Elliott gave an interview to Tom Stanley on RTV in which he could barely finish a sentence without bursting into tears. He has clearly been feeling the pressure this week, which only increased with each race without a winner.

Dan Skelton and Gavin Cromwell have probably nailed down JP support this week, Henderson and Elliott respectively probably envious of their wins for green and gold.

Agree, I can see Cromwell becoming McManus’s premier trainer from now on. He has won him a Champion Hurdle and a Gold Cup.

It was a big meeting for Mark Walsh as well. He has had his critics but he gave his two winners today beautiful rides.

I get the feeling there’s not many more festivals in Henderson , 40 + years is a long time and maybe it’s time for someone younger to have a go with those facilities , as for Nico , he’s had a horrible week and looked from the off like a man with the world on his shoulders , I get there’s pressure but Jesus h he’s is privileged position , how many in the weighing room would swap with him

I think people forget what nut jobs a lot of these top class horses are and how much of a horseman Nico is. They look so calm and controlled at the races but the work that goes on behind the scenes is immense and then it’s down to the jockeys to keep a lid on them.
