Last years second Langer Dan is getting his prep run in tomorrow

Will be tough to beat off his current mark

Though willie and Gordon will no doubt have a few graded horses lurking off nice marks

Be interesting to see how the handicapper reacts to the rather blatant non trier langer dan finishing last

Not even seen the race but more chance of a drop than an increase judging on recent evidence lol.

Well he can’t exactly raise a horse that finishes last

Since the stewards made nothing of it the handicapper surely has to drop him a lb or two after finishing last

On RTV, Sam Turner said Langer Dan never got out of sixth place yesterday.

David Fitzgerald observed “He might tighten up for the run”.

    Nicely done, lads. ;-)

I have a feeling the application of money may improve his performance a tad

It will most likely be Langer Dan for me too lads, but I’ll maybe just wait till the day. I’ll miss the boat with the price, but I’ll have a better idea of where the good conditionals are going.

Thanks for starting a new thread for this FF.

Like a good bet in this, really like this race, but like so many races, difficult to take a strong view with so many with multiple entries.

Been keeping tabs on The Goffer since his win at Navan. If being honest, didn’t really consider him for Cheltenham though, and thought he’d be one for Fairyhouse or Punchestown. Interesting entry though, and crucially, has no other entries. Although maybe not my #1 on the day if he made it, happy to bet him early here NRNB in view of a good run in The Michael Purcell at Thurles today.

    He won’t be my last.

    The Goffer 33’s NRNB

137 gets in every year mike

State man looks the obvious threat off 141

    Potentially GDC mark 2

State Man could rock up in the County Hurdle.

I’m not sure he jumps slick enough for a county personally

I won’t feel sorry for the Skellys when Langer Dan bumps in to another one with a couple of stone in hand. The runs at Rasen last season, and Taunton this, have been an absolute liberty. Shocking decision to drop him 3lb for that recent ‘effort’.

Agree TTC. Connections must be laughing themselves silly.

    Patrick Mullins on State Man…

“Obviously he’s entered all over the place, but Richard Deegan rode him in a conditional jockeys’ race at Limerick so should he go for the Martin Pipe, Ritchie knows him well.”
