Minella Melody for me.
March 12, 2020 at 16:30 #1485787The lovely Minella Melody to win and a mare I like Ard Abhainn ew and rev f/c the pair.
March 12, 2020 at 16:57 #1485791A joke of a race. The winner runs in it twice and is still a novice. That’s not festival standard to me.
March 12, 2020 at 17:13 #1485796Another Mullins benefit! Nothing wrong with running in it twice, last year was her only start of the season so yes she is a proper novice not just a paper novice. Rule The World won the Grand National as a second season novice and in fact still a maiden over fences…should he not have been in the race?

You don’t understand my point. The Grand National is not a RESTRICTED RACE FOR NOVICES!!!!! Is it???
This is just a pathetic novice hurdle for mares with not much significance for the true Cheltenham Festival and could have taken place in April as well. I don’t give a damn about the winner or the rest.
March 12, 2020 at 18:00 #1485812Um, OK. Don’t watch it then. I didn’t watch the Fred Winter- the list of winners and placed horses since its inception is not exactly crammed with festival legends and it is not a race that I particularly get excited about.
The annual “Let’s all hate the mares’ novice” is a bit tiresome.March 12, 2020 at 23:55 #1485872Well, that was a fantastic run from Phil Kirby’s Rayna’s World to get 3rd. Her very own ‘Champ’ moment, and one of the highlights of the week for me! Great ride from Tommy.
