The Sheikh is on a roll at the moment!!!
Colt will remain in training with Fabre and in the Baron’s ownership until the end of the season where he will be retired to stand at Darley Stud.
August 20, 2007 at 17:01 #111840Do you think the mares at Darley will be allowed to play an equine version of Blind Date next year – they’ll certainly have plenty of young sires to choose from.
Poor old Ramonti – he probably thought that winning a Group 1 in the blue was going to guarantee him the pick of the fillies!

August 20, 2007 at 17:18 #111841It will be good to see Coolmore and Goodolphin going head to head for the big prizes once again if these new sires do their stuff as expected.
August 25, 2007 at 16:07 #112498yeah they seem to be getting all the decent ones! amadeus wolf is next ont the cards for the irish national stud. Darley get authorized, manduro and teofilo
Coolmore must be slightly jealous….was surprised to see the name manduro added into the darley’s list of stallions
who do you think will produce the best progeny?August 25, 2007 at 19:13 #112505Most stallions disappoint, even ones who were outstanding performers on the racecourse, but of the three mentioned, I’d rate Manduro as the one least likely to fail.
August 25, 2007 at 22:57 #112522Coolmore have serious strength in depth, which is something Godolphin always had until recently when thing have seemed to die out a bit.
The Irish bloodlines are far more effective than anything that Godolphin have – hence the Authorized purchase.August 25, 2007 at 23:03 #112523Coolmore have serious strength in depth, which is something Godolphin always had until recently when thing have seemed to die out a bit.
