Hi guys
A tasty looking handicap for us to get stuck into here and I’ve got a free download on my Blog for you all –

Any thoughts on the race? A few from the Melrose stakes at York re-oppose today, could turn out to be a hot race…..

If this was the Same Mount Athos who ran in Sir Ivor’s Derby I’d be having the proverbials on him

Still I’m quite keen on his chances and the trainer seems pretty confident despite a massive 11lbs rise in the weights.
Whatever it is Tony Newcombe has done with Hanovarian Baron is working. Could be Katie the cat keeping the rats away gawd only knows but he’s been a model of consistancy since joining the yard at the end of last season.
It’s a tough race but he could relish the step up in trip and he wouldn’t be 10/1 if he was trained by SMS or Henry.
I think I’ll risk a few quid EW on him and a couple of quid RFC for luck.
September 10, 2010 at 12:29 #316886Yeah I certainly would be giving Hanovarian an EW Shout…..

Tactician 16/1 each-way
And looking at the odds I’m shocked cause Plymouth Rock should reverse placings with Maxim Gorky.

Never got a run
but nearly took 4th close home.September 11, 2010 at 07:10 #316997Couldn’t have had the winner and to be honest I only once heard someone briefly mention it before the race. The horse seems to like Town Moor though…..
No hard luck stories for my selection(s) just not up to the job in hand on the day….
