    Fatally injured at Yarmouth

    A terrible accident happened at Yarmouth today and poor Lord Chapelfield lost his life when he stumbled and fell (possibly a rabbit hole) his jockey thrown into the ground was later thankfully released from hospital. The meeting was abandoned and the course is being inspected.
    RIP Lord Chapelfield
    Condolences to all connections on their sad loss.
    This surely could have been avoided by better course management.

    Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...

    Agree Triptych. If the jockey hadn’t been injured (thankfully not as serious as it first appeared) I wonder if they would even have found that hole & abandoned the meeting
