I put it across earlier Raymo that I just don’t get on with backing Pat Cosgrave on turf. Haggas has him on the roster but I can’t help but feel that reduces his chance of winning.
Paul Hanagan was on board over 14f when Dal Harraild last won and lo and behold in the last race today he has the first and second, ridden by Jimothy Crowley and Sylvester the Sousacat. That’s my rant over
August 25, 2017 at 17:43 #1315625Well, I’ve always been a Montaly fan but at handicap level and I hadn’t seen anything to suggest he had a win like this in him.
I was all over Dartmouth unfortunately and did a Dettori and punched the air in my living room when he crossed the line

I think he’ll have a good chance on Champions Day, maybe leave him alone til then.
St Michel seems to be found out now as one of those types that comes there cantering and struggles to ever actually go through with it.
Final point: it was nice to see High Jinx put in a bold showing and he ran on well gamely late on to get up back past horses who’d gone past him.
August 25, 2017 at 17:44 #1315626I had Sheikhzayedroad. His two best runs last season came at Doncaster and Ascot, and in both he was given a very prominent ride so he didn’t have too much ground to make up. Today Martin Harley had the best chance to get him in a prominent position from stall 1, but decided to hold him up near the rear of the field. He stayed on well at the end, but he wasn’t quick enough to ever get into contention. A really frustrating ride, and I’d love to know why they’ve changed tactics on him.
