Haven’t been able to find a market yet, but having looked at the Queen Anne market on oddschecker I have to say this looks an incredibly uninspiring bunch of milers at present.

Does anyone have any fancies for the Lockinge? I’d assume, similarly to the Queen Anne, Inspiral will be the favourite if she runs but it’s incredibly hard to get excited about backing her at the likely odds (she’s 3/1 fav for the Queen Anne).

No idea if she’s running but Laurel is a horse I will be following for the season in this division

I’ve had an early bet with Mutasaabeq at 25-1, following the win in The Joel

Chindit at 40/1 with William Hill
last years Lockinge was 3rd beaten 5 lengths to Baaeed
tends to start the season well before losing form later in the year.. Wasn’t the greatest performance today but looks to have retained his ability at least

Yet another scintillating photo – of Nathan, that is, not sure about the other fella on the left doing the photo bombing.

Hopefully we get to see modern games and laurel clash on Saturday

I’m very tempted to back laurel for the Queen anne but the 7s just seems a bit stingy given if she loses this weekend she’d be likely to run in the Duke of Cambridge instead

This year’s renewal should be renamed the Shockinge.

    Terrible race.

Agree with gladders, never before has there been a worse winner than Chindit… :yahoo:

I shall not be going on Saturday as they have moved the 2 y/o race from the card.. :negative:

I think its a better race than last year its just that last year had Baaeed in it so I guess it hinges on whether you want to watch the best horse beat up inferior ones on the bridle or you want a contest where I think there are 4 maybe 5 horses with a fair chance of winning this and they wouldn’t be terrible winners just not Baaeed. Modern Games is a better horse than Real World surely everyone can agree on that?

Yes it’s a very interesting race

The last 2 renewals were foregone conclusions with Palace pier and baaeed taking on vastly inferior rivals

I’m with Ham. Jadoomi at 8/1. The Crisfords deserve a big winner. He was just behind Modern Games at Ascot on champions day but was found to be lame so might have ran a better race than he should have. He looked very progressive going into that race as well.
The course had a sharp shower today and although the results of the last few races today say ‘good’, the times suggest it might be a little slower than that. That will be a plus for the selection, good ground should be fine, he just doesn’t want it fast.

I’m still debating whether I should add Modern Games, 7/2 is a fair price for what he’s achieved and the form of his 2nd place last time in the U.S has been franked somewhat by the 3rd winning a group 1 next time. You know what, REVERSE FORECAST!
