I know that it’s wise to go for a progressive type, the proverbial Group Horse in a Handicap, but I’m sticking with last season’s selection, Empirestateofmind.
Should sneak in, and he’ll be a few pounds lower (hopefully). Got a run for my money with him, and happy to go for a repeat of that. I’ll try and wait for 40’s, but if no sign of that, I’ll take the 33’s (which I’ve now cashed out)
Also at 40’s, is All The Kings Men, and he appeals quite a lot too
No Bet
March 2, 2024 at 12:27 #1683209Cashed out, as missing from a couple of lists.
No more Antepost on this, and I reckon I’ll try Racingbreaks Ryder if he goes
March 17, 2024 at 22:20 #1687204Not a lucky race but chucked a few quid on Navagio EW at 25/1 for old time sake.
You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.March 18, 2024 at 11:46 #1687232Johan 25s
Silvestra de Sousa back on board
March 19, 2024 at 11:06 #1687360It’s definitely the same for me wilts, I think that he’ll run a big race
March 19, 2024 at 12:10 #1687365Best price now 16s (365).
Admittedly, i do have slight concerns about the likely going.March 19, 2024 at 21:09 #1687493Chazzesmee absolutely bolts up here if he goes over. 8/1 should be 11/4. Won’t be off the bridle come the furlong pole.
March 20, 2024 at 14:54 #1687533It looks an interesting renewal right now, but I will wait till the final lineup is confirmed
I’m currently leaning towards The Gatekeeper, and I’ll definitely have him if he runs
March 20, 2024 at 19:24 #1687567I have it in my head you need to be drawn high when the ground is very soft in the Lincoln
So the draw could be key

March 21, 2024 at 20:03 #1687683CHAZZESMEE can have back some of my munny from the Irish version last week, taken 11/2. Little sneaky bet on another double Z in race fit CHUZZLEWIT at 50/1.

Spirit Genie each way 40/1 (1st 6 places).
Soft ground shouldnt be a problem.March 22, 2024 at 17:45 #1687958Non-Runners
Awaal and Bass PlayerMarch 23, 2024 at 00:06 #1687988Had a long look through these and can’t get away from ..
The Gatekeeper – 10/1(missed the best prices)…never won on heavy but goes well on soft and always seems to run his race having taken on quite a few of his rivals. Also having a little on the Andrew Balding filly
Vetiver 16/1 EW
She won a listed fillies race on soft at Carlisle.
Beaten by The Gatekeeper at Ascot in October (5th) but still ahead of quite a few of her rivals today and interesting that Raadobarg who ran 3rd to Chezzesmee in the Irish Lincoln was in 10th place that day and Awaal 12th.
She’s only a 4yo and seems progressive soft ground in her favour.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 23, 2024 at 08:54 #1687999I’ll throw a dart at Liberty Lane ew 5 places
March 23, 2024 at 10:58 #1688014Chazzesmee won well at The Curragh but this is a much deeper contest than it’s Irish equivalent. I’m looking amongst the longer prices and encouraged to see that Spirit Genie 18/1 1/5 odds 1-6 e/w has recorded his best two Racing Post Ratings in heavy ground. Up in class but I suspect there’s a bit more to come at 4 and market seems to have cottoned on as he’s generally a shorter price than I expected.
