Cox says he has done this, and done that, and what a horse, blah blah, he has had a setback blah blah.
My personal radar says he won 2 G1’s and has been jacked in before he lowers his stud fee.
Fair enough, but why lie?
September 27, 2013 at 23:48 #452623They know that No Nay Never is going sprinting next year and don’t fancy their chances.
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
September 28, 2013 at 07:48 #452644If he was an Australian horse GT would be saying he is retiring before they find the steroids in his system! They say that they thought about the breeders cup meeting, only a 4yo, thought they may have shown some balls. Dual Group 1 sprint winners there are quite a few about, would have thought they would have tried for a couple more.
September 28, 2013 at 23:56 #452878I have been disappointed with the way Lethal Force has been campaigned this season. After winning the July Cup he seemed to have the world at his feet with invitations to valuable races overseas and the prospect of dominating a sprint division that has been looking decidedly mediocre for some time.
Connections decided to step up in trip slightly and tackle Moonlight Cloud over probably her best trip. No disgrace in being beaten by her but they ended up at Haydock on unsuitable ground and he has now gone out with a whimper without being tried at 5f in a Nunthorpe won by a rank outsider. I believe that the York sprint could and probably should have been on his CV
All in all it looks like a pretty feeble effort in getting the most out of the horse and a wasted opportunity for Clive Cox to make a bit more of a name for himself. When will he get another horse as good?
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
