My favourite race of the DRF, but my record in it, would suggest it shouldn’t be

Got shortlist of four, but trying not to go Antepost

Buachaillbocht – Ran ok in The Paddy Power, and I’m confident he’s got a few big handicaps in him. Really like him for Kim Muir, and needs a win in something like this to get in probably.

Dreal Deal – Inconsistent type, plenty of miles on the clock, and fairly exposed. Still, I just think he has another decent run in him. Liked his effort in Topham, and subsequent efforts, though I’d have to conveniently put a line through last run. Interesting, to me anyway, at 66’s

Kim Roque – Had him marked down as very promising type, and not given up yet, but they run in December Gold Cup was bitterly disappointing. I’ll forgive him though, and I’ll definitely bet him here

Waterford Whispers – Looks well treated, and just the type to have one specific target this year. He looks an obvious one here, and quite surprised at the 16’s
