A friend is visiting us after Christmas and, as we went to this meeting last year and really enjoyed it we planned to take her along…she goes racing sometimes but I always like to try to get people even more interested. However, it’s quite expensive that day as they have some sort of tribute band on and we’d have to pay for that as well . I know racecourses need to make more money but can’t help but be a bit brassed off about it.

I’m not sure if there is a way around it. Thinking off the top of my head they possibly could have a cut off time between the last race and the start of the music where if you leave via where-ever they could refund part of the entrance fee.
Not sure how viable that would work but it would encourage perhaps a few more in for the races that did not want to watch the band.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
December 16, 2016 at 18:57 #1277408There was some kind of band on when I went to Wolverhampton recently but they sold separate tickets for racing only or racing and band. No idea if/how that would work at Leicester but you would have thought they could have done that.
December 16, 2016 at 19:31 #1277412It didn’t look as if that was possible, but I might phone them up and ask.
