How can you have firm in places and heavy in places on the same racetrack? I’ve never been can anyone explain?
It does look strange. The only thing I can think of is the chase course is separate at Leicester and will not have been watered during the summer.

Another point about today’s racing..I was thinking of going to Carlisle today but although it’s a decent card on soft going there’s not many runners. I like standing by the paddock watching 14 or so young horses in a bumper going round or 10 or 11 in a novice hurdle. Novice chases and listed races you expect 6 or 7 but there’s a lack of buzz when you watch the same half dozen in the other races. I’m undecided.Where I based jumpsfan ? , I’m from castle cary originally

This IMO is key.
Hurdles courses which share terrain with the Flat will have been watered all year round.
Chase only courses can get in a right state, especially after the summer we have had.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"Watching the replay on RTV, it did look like the hurdles were on the Flat track.
The chase track is an entirely different course, rather like Sandown where the going can be completely different between the two courses.
Exactly CAS – two excellent examples of this.
