Good luck theo,i have given up laying myself,the absolute donkeys seem to go and win when you lay them,if you had lost the £381 risked in order to win £43,im sure it would hurt.

I hear Ye Kaiser definitly a different game laying but if I can find value in a price to back i can find it to lay even backing and laying in the same race. Finding horses with very little chance on their best form even if the race is going to run to suit.
One thing I am not clued up on is a laying bankroll how much of it should I be risking in one lay?
Laying will be easier on the turf I suspect with wind direction and ground changes making a bigger difference.

Good luck with this Theo. Other than laying off existing bets, I rarely do it, as I just don’t have the balls for it.

I realise this sounds like aftertiming, but I do keep a record, and I’m 17/17, but that’s over about 5 years, so it show’s how rarely I do it, and I can assure you it’s not been for much cash…….see that “balls” comment. I did 4 last season, and of the others, 7 of them were on the same 2 horses, who are/were always underpriced.

I’m no sure about how to do screenshots, Nathan might be the man to ask, or Zark seems to do it, he might explain it easier as well.

I was literally thinking earlier today I should start a laying league. I think it would make us better layers, as we strove to get streaks of winning lays and defeat each other!

Screenshots…I use a Macbook, so I can select a part of the screen to do a screenshot of. The shortcut is…I literally cannot remember right now. I always do it instinctively but I’ve forgotten Shift + command + 4. Shift + command + 3 takes a screenshot of everything on your screen.

I then use https://postimage.org to upload them

Hi Theo

I too have started laying horses recently. I was successful with 15 out of my first 16 lays. The next 7 lays I was only successful in 4/7. My last 6 lays I have only been successful in 3. I try not to lay anything more than 7s. The recent lay losses have pretty much has brought me back to square one.

Good luck and only lay for small amounts at the start is the best advice I could give.
