Is Davey Russell on the outs with Giggi again?

Ah thanks for the link, surprised Davy is off Delta Work, see what happens going forward.

Baffling how Davy isn’t getting a look in with Kennedy out. You think you’d be treated better when you win back to back Grand Nationals.

This should be a good race to watch! I hope Delta Work wins. I think he ought to have won at Cheltenham and he showed he was the real deal at Punchestown. Still not totally convinced by Clan des Obeaux’s overall profile.

The Gordon Elliot horses were on fire today, so I think that they’re all going to have to be at their best here.

I am going to look elsewhere though, and I will stay loyal to Snow Falcon at around 8-1.

CLAN DES OBEAUX I’ve got to say the form for me doesn’t look THAT strong. Winning the king george on paper is a great win but it wasn’t the strongest race in hindsight, Not alot of those horses went on to do much last season. The Denman chase didnt take alot of winning either. Im quite confident in DELTA WORK for this given the manner of his win at Punchestown beating a (recently) good one in A PLUS TARD

I’ll be disappointed if Delta doesn’t take it, but if he does, I won’t be losing any extra cash on him here.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see Alpha Des Obeaux run a big race around 22’s as well.

Very interesting race, but I find it hard to predict. I think Delta Work will win, but no bet for me. Nice to see Clan des Obeaux travelling to Ireland. I don’t think Road to Respect is a real top class grade 1 horse, but he was very good here in the last two editions.

The ground should suit your boy All Jeff- it has rained a bit more here this evening- not lashing but that soft, persistent stuff that soaks in and the air is saturated. It’s going to be properly soft tomorrow and that, I suspect, has torn it for Road to Respect.

Both Delta Work and CDO have won on soft, and even heavy, although I think both would have preferred slightly quicker ground. Delta Work is young and not huge so perhaps easier to get fit? And should have that natural improvement given his age.

But CDO is back on a flat right handed track and Cobden sounds full of confidence in his horse. I hope he stays the 3 on this ground. I wonder if ADO will set off at a good clip to test him.

Clan des Obeaux- just- for me. Hoping for a good race and to see DW and CDO appearing over the hill together for the charge down to fly the last two fences neck and neck :good:

I’m not going to have a bet in this, but I would love to see a big run from Clan Des Obeaux.

I agree Green, that would be a great sight coming to the last.

Delta Work the pick of the paddock- he’s shining and noticeably stronger than this time last year. Snow Falcon looks good too :good:

    Delta Work was bad.

Fair play to the winner. He is clearly a good operator at this time of year and at this track. However, that was poor by Delta Work. His jumping was nowhere near good enough.

Always best to be circumspect about a season’s novices till we see them in open company. Delta Work, Santini, et al were being highly touted as a golden generation, but as Vincent O’Brien said, “If you think you have 4 Derby winners, you probably don’t have any.’

Well, that was a disappointing run by Delta Work. I am curious to see what Santini will do on his first start. Road to Respect once again delivers here, let’s see whether he can show this form on other courses as well.
